I was out in the L-18C last week, together with some friends. In total we were seven planes: Me in the L18C, two L-4s, three Tiger Moths and a Bird Dog. After the grain harvest, before the fields are plowed again, we are allowed by the owners to land at four or five different farm fields. Last Wednesday was a beautiful late summer’s day, warm and completely calm, so off we went. I brought my GoPro, and tried my hand at a bit of video editing, adding a soundtrack, etc. Hope you like it smile

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Very Cool semmern.

Some great footage and beautiful countryside.

Just got a GoPro for school and other stuff.

What did you use for editing?

Thanks.

I use Wondershare Filmora. Solid program with lots of options, and quite easy to use.

Very good semmern. I wish we lived near each other and could fly together. That was truly fun flying.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

That would be great! Maybe one day when international travel is up and running again, I will visit FL, or you Norway smile

Great video!

Given enough time, could you cross the Atlantic in your planes?
I was going to try it in a Cessna 172, but FS2020 doesn't model any airstrips on the Faroe Islands, so was thwarted at planning stage. smile

With enough fuel, certainly. C172s are ferried across on a quite regular basis, fitted with ferry tanks instead of back seats. They typically follow the old WWII route from Gander to Goose Bay, Søndre Strømfjord on Greenland, then one of the fields on the east coast of Greenland, then Keflavik on Iceland, and from there to Prestwick in Scotland. If you set 20-30 kt westerly winds, take off and climb to 10 000 ft, then lean properly, you should get nearly six hours‘ endurance and enough range out of a standard 172 with 52 USG tanks to make the trip, maybe if you go via Eigilsstadir on the west coast of Iceland first.
