Good times! We missed you Clyde! I think I stole a kill or two, but generally a poor showing. Fun just the same and less frustrating than expected since I already had low expectations. LOL Watch for the influx from the right!
Another fun night on Thu, still managed some good rounds despite running into a few comp teams.... A few rounds uploaded to YT here, first round my sounds cuts out for a bit but comes back...
I'm still playing pretty regularly. My time is evenly divided between BattleTech and MWO.... MW5 just got installed an hour ago so it's a 3 way split now

I'm around and I've been playing a lot here and there. I'm liking MW5 but it isn't a replacement for MWO, just different. If I get frustrated with my main account, I start a new one. Newer players are more fun and they don't play maps the same way every round.
I stopped playing when they nerfed small lasers into the dirt. The game had okay balance before that, and the small lasers were fantastic secondary weapons before the nerf. That was a couple of years ago. I miss the game, but not the PUGs.
MWO could benefit immensely from MW 5's procedural map generation system. Can you imagine every drop being unique? No more NASCAR.

ABSOLUTELY.
I have long thought that a couple really simple things they could have done were: randomize base & starting locations and make the enemy and undiscovered cap points not show on the map until they are scouted and locked by a friendly player. Make light mechs scout again.

Chromehounds had huge maps and each team had a choice of 2-4 starting location options. The team leader would choose where the base would be and the rest would still be there, but unoccupied. If the enemy wanted to take out your base, they had to find it first. It was a great system and the maps were big enough to support that with the bases being a long way from each other.
Been getting some drops in for the last few weeks.
Weeded through my mechs, too. Why did I have 3 Shadow Hawk chassis?
I had some Mech Creds from a long time ago so I bought 2 hero mechs during the holiday sale, a Shadow Hawk and a Mad Dog. Then picked up a Timber Wolf and C-Hunchback II during the C-Bill sale yesterday.
Trying a few new things, but there is definitely a drag to not playing with buds.
Probably won't spend any more money on this game, will upgrade my rig Holiday 2020, then grab MW5 after the rebuild.

So I got a "soft upgrade" already. I got a used workstation from my office earlier this year that that has beefier specs, but the video card (a Quadro K4200), while excellent for AutoCAD, was unable to play even light 3D games. It would overheat, I think, and make my screen blank.
I recent upgraded my GPU to a GTX 1650 and it is doing much better.
Re-installed MWO again and although I wasn't able to get a drop in to check quality I can tell a massive improvement in the mech bay.
