Small patch for some issues, for testing purpose:

AH-64D cockpit UV fix (right CPG panel, knob)
AI fuel consumption calculation fix
AI helicopter slow down instead of being destroyed if out of fuel (until emergency landing not exists)
Amount of fuel recalculated for all AI helicopters in group on waypoint change (before take-off)
Missing translation values added
Digital EO stabilization for modern helicopters (Realistic avionics), or for all helicopters (Simple or Advanced avionics)

HOW TO INSTALL

Manually:

* You need EECH 1.16.1 to be installed. Clean install is not required. No conflicts with other mods until they are not contained EXE to GWUT changes.
* Download 1.16.2 patch archive
* Unpack files to the folder with installed Enemy Engaged: Comanche VS Hokum ver1.16.1
* It also recommended removing EECH.INI file, but if you're not willing to do so - just change INI parameter: wut=GWUT1162.CSV

Using allMods installer (English and Russian languages available):

* Download and launch installer application
* Check "Allow test updates" on settings screen
* Select installed game (vanilla, 1.16.0 or 1.16.1)
* Click on checkbox near to allMods pack 1.16.2 version title (1.16.0/1.16.1 first if it not installed)
* Click Update button
* Remove content of EECH.INI file in case of clean install (by clicking notepad icon at the bottom of app screen)
* Ensure that GWUT option changed to GWUT1162.CSV

That is really strange, but I don't experience any crashes. Tried to recompile EXE and include it into installer, but not sure it will help.
You have tried different campaigns I guess? What if COHOKUM1162 will be renamed into COHOKUM? just in case you have some installed software configured for this particular name (like Nvidia graphics settings)
Also rename EECH.INI temporary, so game will create new one, maybe some ini settings cause issue.

Hi. if you mean copy of Enemy Engaged Comanche vs Hokum, simpler option is get it from GOG
or your question about allMods patch itself?

still have no idea what is going on. will try to install game on laptop just in case.
be careful with using GWUT1162 - fuel consumption greatly increased for large helicopters, they will fall down really quickly in 1.16.1

BANITA, are these high-res textures k50_cockpit_1.bmp and k50_cockpit_2.bmp? I have them as well but can't see a problem.
it can be some configs on your system, linked with old EXE only.
or wrong DX libraries in mine that was used by compiler, don't remember I have changed anything since last release but it is possible (especially after Visual Studio experiments).

when i resize k50_cockpit_1.bmp and 2 from 4096 to 2048 game run normally. without ctd.I know it looks
oddly.

there must be a unintentional difference between 1.161 and 1162 imho (?)

I think I have the same problem as Banita but as various messages in the chain have been removed I'm not quite sure. I manually installed the 1.16.2 patch over a 1.16.1 installation per the 1.16.2 archive instructions, deleting the EECH.ini. When I run the game from COHOKUM1162.exe it loads fine showing up as version 1.16.2 with wut=GWUT1162.CSV and the menus pop up but when I attempt any selected skirmish or free flight the game hangs after I hit OK. No debug report is rendered so I can't tell what is hanging up the game.

However if I run the game directly from DEBUG1162.exe, the game loads as version 1.16.2, the wut=GWUT1162.CSV shows, the menus pop up and the skirmishes and free flights run just fine. And a debug log shows up in the directory but with no errors.

I tried changing COHOKUM1162.exe to COHOKUM.exe but the same hang up occurred. I removed the old GWUT1160.CSV file, cohokum_test10.exe file, the original cohokum.exe file and anything that seemed to reference an older version, but still COHOKUM1162.exe hangs and DEBUG1162.exe runs the game just fine. Happy to just use the DEBUG1162 entrance but obviously something is amiss. I'm running with Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit, GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB, i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40Ghz. I also have Apache Havoc installed with the Comanche Hokum.

Any thoughts, guidance, direction welcome.

For me resize textures not working now. As Mechanic say game ctd when press ok button, i reinstalled windows I've been planning this for a long time still nothing. Game unplayable.
that is, the problem occurs regardless of the version of windows Mechanic use 7, i use win10.
only one important change in this patch keysite_anim_multiplier
we have 3 versions no hesco , hesco 1.2 and hesco animated.
maybe something is going on here and the game crashes sometimes.

I have tried to reinstall compiler, DX files etc. but get exactly the same EXE file, so it's not compiler issue.

Had you been exporting MFDs? I was having a problem with 2 monitors if I'd been exporting the MFDs, and it was causing the game to crash. When I switched off export, it then worked on two monitors, and then I could re-enable export.

I just installed 1.6.2 and didn't intentionally turn anything on. Is there a setting I need to intentionally turn off so I can have my browser or streaming app in the other monitor like pre-1.6?

Edit: It may have been related to having the sim at the wrong resolution for the monitor at the same time as two monitors being on at once.

Also, anyone know what dynamic range gamut and contrast capability EECH has? Always seems so dull and washed out, like you really have to boost contrast and backlight even for day scenes to look vibrant and crisp. Obviously I'm not expecting HDR, but the dynamic range curve on it has always seemed a bit wonky.

A few issues of helos landing on top of my helo when I'm trying to take off. Also seeing tanks driving half on top of each other.

Some freeze/CTD stuff when in helmet padlock gun aiming when the action heats up and I'm like nearly inverted.

Issue with the target cycling in both directions cycle in the same direction, requiring you to cycle all the way back around rather than just going in the other direction to get to the adjacent target you just cycled through.

A deadzone adjustment in the EECH.ini for the pedals/yaw axis would be welcome.

KA-52's yaw authority is pathetic in 1.6.2's FM2 and way too much in FM0 and FM1. The dyn files also don't seem to affect this. I don't remember the original Hokum flight model ever being any of these yaw performances, but rather something in between. Am I remembering wrong?


FM0 - Pretty good turn coordination that maybe could be a little more gradual onset so it's only doing something significant at even higher speeds still. Has the lightest helos or the most power requiring the lowest torque to take off. The most useable flight model right now, though I must use GlovePIE to divide the yaw axis by two to prevent stupid rates in the Hokum. (correction: still too much turn coordination at low speeds)

FM1 - No turn coordination at all at any airspeed and less power or heavier helos than FM0, requiring higher torque than FM0 to take off. If Hokum yaw was half of its present authority and turn coordination at higher speeds was here even without further improvements, this might be my favorite of the three. (correction: I think I prefer this one right now.)

FM2 - Turn coordination, while present, isn't onsetting gradually enough with forward velocity. The helo constantly wants to yaw when you bank even at low speeds. Translational lift seems low. FM2 has the least power or heaviest helos, requiring the highest torque to take off. 85%ish to take off in a combat-loaded Apache vertically with half a tank of gas? Hokum yaw is nearly useless and it's not worth using FM2 now if you plan on flying it.

It seems it is better to stick at 1.16.1 until some bugfix patches are released if someone is ever working on it.
