I saw a convoy of ONCOR (Texas Power Company) Cherry Picker trucks heading East this morning. I suspect they are preloading the area with Emergency Response Teams.
Everyone down South, stay safe. Remember there is a 2-Brisket Limit as well. Probably had a run on Kingsford Charcoal as well. No dang storm is gonna keep us out of the BBQ!

This is TEXAS! Brisket is must got items in a hurricane and you need to get some extras in case the hurricane misses, which it might.
Brisket is must got items on many other occasions too, in fact just about every other occasion.

It is acceptable to use Brisket as a side dish when having Steak.

How will you cook it when a hurricane knocks out your gas and electric and the BBQ grill flew away and the wind is 100 mph with a downpour.

Run the loop this visible Sat loop of Laura. Last frame sure looks like it went the stadium effect and could even gain strength even more.

Try it homeless. Necessity is the mother of invention...

Can't say I dealt with 100mph winds, but I've cooked on the side of a shopping cart under a bridge in the middle of a pretty big storm...

I know Bill and even if the grill gets airborne he would probably dig a fire pit for a solid barbecue

Hah, I've seen things about cooking on exhaust pipes!

Never tried it, but I've reheated stuff in foil on exhaust manifolds and/or engine blocks before...

Easier if you open a claymore and roll some c4 into small balls or unscrew the top of a grenade peel the skin and break up the comp B either way you get good heat,,Better than a bloody heat tab

It made landfall at 2 am eastern with the eye between Port Arthur and New Orleans. Port Arthur is 264 miles west of New Orleans. Now it's heading North and by late tonight it will be turning Northeast and then it will continue east. New Orleans was spared. https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/storm_grap..._messages+png/093157_key_messages_sm.png Live radar for New Orleans https://weather.com/weather/radar/i...47572a4fbee6bd2e370cf094c4373f2758bfe083

NoFlyBoy, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume I didn't catch the tongue-in-cheek tone of your comment, but it came across as if you're a chap with absolutely no sense of humor. Sometimes, we deal with challenges with humor. It's the only way to get through sucky things like COVID-19 and hurricanes.
