Finished the tournament today.

Congrats with the win DBond.
You play excellent golf again.

Me?
Not so much. biggrin

I have already forgotten the numbers.

I managed to start the two last rounds with bogeys.
That is an ashievment in itself.

Ah, too bad, I thought this one might be a win for you. I came really close to a hole in one. But not to be. Still, the longest hole-out for us this 'season' is 89 yards. We have to improve on that smile

Good luck in the next one.

I played the new tournament, this one is Korda Canyon, a delightful romp through the hills. Or maybe it's um, a canyon. Lots of elevation change, tricky pins positions and nice risk/reward par-5s, a couple drivable par-4s. A nice mix of tee shots, from bombing driver 400 yards to hitting a knock down 4 iron off the tee.

I really like this course, makes you think. I like 99% of the courses so maybe not that special smile

Shaky opening, shooting 64. Then followed that with 60-61-60 for 43-under I think. Four eagles, two fookin' bogeys.

Good luck!

Good golf DBond.
I have played one round. Started ok, but somehow got overconfident and spoiled it completely. smile

I will leave it for a day and go back and finish it in better style . I hope.

Very nice course, but it bites you if you try to be too smart.

Thanks Wigean, Korda Canyon is in the books. You had more eagles once again and you are in the lead. Very impressive! I liked that course a lot. Makes you think, be creative. You have to use judgement and feel more than many courses. Not just a matter of dialing in the distance and hitting it pure. The drastic elevation changes, as well as trouble lurking near every green, made this course a nice test. Good golf.

Next up is TPC Deere Run. I played the tournament last night, so a ghost is posted. Got off to a hot start, making birdie on the first six I think. Struggled a bit in round three, making three bogies dammit. But overall pretty solid, two eagles (including holing out from 109 yards) and four fookin' bogeys. Good luck!

Deere Run is in the books. Good golf Wigean.

Next up is Hawk's Nest. I filtered by top rated and this was near the top. Nice course, but not much slope in the greens, so you can make a lot of birdies if you hit a lot of greens. Par 5's are vulnerable too. This was my best tournament ever, with the lowest round I've shot. You'll have to bring out your best for this one smile

Good luck!

I`ll do my best.

This course looks fun.

May be I should play this without a ghost? biggrin

That final round was just lights out. I made one par lol.

I don't know if you were able to marvel at the magnificence haha, but good golf Wigean. You played great and on a different day that's a winning score.

Hawk's Nest is in the books. very nice course, but the greens are probably a little too flat. But it's fun making birdies and it's the same for every one.

Next up is Coeur d’Alene, a well-known resort in Idaho. Beautiful course, fun layout. Par 5s are pretty defenseless. Don't know what to say about the score I shot, I guess every now and then a blind squirrel finds a nut.

I will say that every tournament I have a few goals, or targets I am looking to hit. I want to average 330 off the tee (usually depends on how often I have to hit something other than driver), proximity to hole of less than 20 feet, and fairways and greens over 90%. But the one I most want to do is play bogey-free golf. And every week there is at least one hole where I get it wrong, make bogey, and ruin it. Last week I bogeyed the first hole, and then didn't make another. Sheesh. But this week I managed it. Felt lucky a couple times when I thought I had just made bogey but then realized it had been a par 5 haha.

Good luck!

Sorry, I missed the starting gun on this tournament.

I was looking forward to it, but when I loaded the game this morning I realized it was over yesterday.

Looking at the result I don`t believe I would have any chance anyway. smile

-66 below par must be the best result ever?

Congrats DBond.

I really would have enjoyed playing with your ghost this time.

Thanks, yes that's low score so far. It was a beautiful course, lots of fun.

Next up is April's Major, which is Augusta of course, but not called that due to licensing issues. It is a fantastic rendition. I played well in the first round, but got worse each round after. I had a triple when I left it in the bunker a couple times in a row. Missed the green in the one spot you can't. In the bunker to the right of a pin tucked all the way to the right. Tried to finesse it,. left it in the trap. Did that again, then hit the shot I had been trying to avoid and put it way past the hole. Triple bogey. Derp. Not sure if I just played worse as it went on or if the pin positions maybe got harder each day. Some very difficult hole locations.

When you listen to the players when they play the Masters, they always talk about placing the approach shots in the right places. It's not just a matter of getting it close here, but putting the ball in the proper spots to avoid big scores.

Good luck!

HELP!! biggrin

I am stuck on hole 13.
The ball lies in the transition of the green and the higher grass outside, I try to force it , but it refuses to trigger the game to understand that the ball has stopped.
When I reload the game I get a replay of the put and the ball gets stuck again.

Have you seen something simular DBond?

Happy New Year golfers!

I am still stuck on hole 13. Reloaded several times and the game won`t understand that the ball has stopped.

I have tried to find a way to restart the round, but that is not an option.

The last hope is to let the game run and see if it eventually will accept that the ball has stopped.

Sad thing, because I had a perfect round so far ....

No, I didn`t. biggrin

I am at -2 . DBond is cruising at -10 and will continue to increase the lead and win the tournament with a large margin. As always. smile

Ah man, that's not good. No, hasn't happened to me. So you cannot proceed?

They call the spot where you are Amen Corner. Maybe a prayer will fix it?

Haha , so that is Amen Corner. I`ve heard about it, but never seen it.

Too bad. The course is challenging and I had hoped for a nice progression in the other 3 rounds.

After playing Fallout 76 all the time I feel kind of rusty to play a game of golf.

This game hasn`t been good to me.

First they got rid of my fittings that cost me thousands of credits and now this.

The game has also crashed a couple of times, but I have been able to continue after the last save.

May be I should report the bug, but I find their customer service terrible. All you get is some standard phrases with no action in response.

Sorry you couldn't complete that tournament. I had been using the course selection filters and picking courses from the top rated list. But I guess these are user made and can have issues.

So after this one, next up is the official course Bay Hill. The current one is a good course. Had a lot of fun playing this one. I played with your ghost and good golf Wigean. You beat me by three strokes in the first round, but after that I got hot and overtook you. My long putting was better than usual this week.

Good golf. Good luck at Bay Hill.

Yes, i thought the last course was demanding and I am sorry that I couldn`t complete it.
Tried everything to solve ot except registring a new player profile. smile

I was quite happy with my play this time. A bit rusty after playing Fallout though.
I had a few near misses and also hit the water. Fun though.

Not surprised to be beaten once again.

Congratulations on a well played tournament.

You know that feeling when you end up doing 10 on a par 4 hole?

No?

Well, I do ......
