First time I've heard of this. I'm sure Ssnake will help out as soon as he sees this though. Might be an idea to post exactly which tutorials or missions you're seeing this in. Also it may be an idea to register over on the SB forums and post this there. You may get a quicker reply. SB Forums link Hope you get it sorted. Sorry I can't help further.

Things like this are almost always a user's pc problem. You being the first and only one to report it, makes me think that it is the case.
And I have to say, almost everytime I've had trouble with games in the past, its either been a virus, or a bad install.
So if I were you, I would un-install it. Scan my pc with both anti-virus, and spyware programs. Then re-install it, and making shure you have absolutely nothing running during the install.

Yes it would...... But it's not here and it's not on the SB forums (the one there is from the same original poster). So in this case logic might just be wrong. If there's one somewhere I've not seen, no worries, if there isn't then double checking who reported it where could save the ESim team from chasing a problem that's not related to the software.

What, if you switch from coax to main gun and back, and then fire the next burst? The more details you can provide us, the better.

Originally posted by Chi: Its an intermittent problem and very unpredictable. OK, but when it occurs, try to remember my questions and do these tests. The more information we can get about this issue, the more it helps us to identify the problem. As long as we have no clue what's going on we can hardly do anything. Please keep in mind that your report is very unusual. If we had detected this bug before we would have eliminated it. It's just that we haven't heard of this before, so we now have to test the circumstances systematically to find bout what's wrong.

Chi So, does this mean that you are firing the gun from the gunner's view? And, if so, when pointing the recticle at the target, did you remember to "lase" the target in order for the gun barrel to elevate properly towards the target? I bring this up because in the beginning of my enjoyment of this sim, I found myself forgetting to lase the target after dispensing a previous one. In other words, my first target was a distant target, say 2500 meters. Took him out and then moved on to the next target which was a much closer one, say 750 meters. I did not "lase" the target, so the gun was actually firing the shell along the old trajectory which was out of my "zoomed in" field of view so I never saw the tracers for the shell. Hope my explaination is not too convoluted.

Particularly in the case of the coax. I found your problem very easy to replicate -- especially with the M1 coax -- by miss-lasing beyond the target. The arc is so high and the time between firing and impact so long it looks very much like no rounds are being fired. The effect isn't nearly so pronounced with the main gun, which is why I was curious about the TC's feedback. Ssnake might be on to something with the frame-rate question.
