Yeah MS Flight Simulator 2020 is pretty impressive. However the ones that have providers that have Data caps are going to have issues, When i lived in Houston and was using Fiber optics the service was miles better than Cable, but anything over the Data cap you were charged for. Being a cord cutter that steams Netflix, Amazon Prime and utube TV I'd hit that cap pretty quick. Anyone would considering a typical movie is at least 5 Gigs. So a $100 internet Bill was common for me. I'm now in florida and can't get FO in the area I live and am stuck with cable....which is pretty bad at peak usage hours but at least there's no Data limit.

Overall reports i've seen it even runs better on Machines than the older X version, with even owning all the $1290 worth of ad-ons and DLCs doesn't do what 2020 does. So in that regard it looks great...but here in the states our internet providers are rather poor. Unlike other countries that treat the internet as a Utility we give the providers free reign and thus your get better service in 3rd world countries than your get here. So how MS2020 performs is going to depend where you are and what kind of service you have. If your in a big City your be okay though your likely pay through the nose in data usage but if your in rural America your going to have issues.

A new engine would be great but given the size of the Dev team, it would take many years to bring it all over, not to mention the costs which themselves alone are likely to be prohibited. We might someday get DirectX11 or 12 though. That would be a huge boon.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard from AnKor lately? I know he had some work in progress volume clouds quite awhile back.
