I agree about the Film RAN 100 percent. I also agree about the Alien Queen not having chance to drop a egg on the Ship. Recently, I watched a U Tube movie called Silent Enemy with L Harvey. It was about the sinking of ships in a British Harbor.
I’ve always found it interesting just how quickly Mel Gibson lost his Australian accent once he made it big in Hollywood with “Lethal Weapon” which was only 2 years after Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
I used to think that also.
However, Mel Gibson is not Australian. He was born in the US and his family only moved to Australia when he was 12. He got into acting early on, so I'm sure he could handle either accent with ease. He never even acquired Australian citizenship although he reportedly maintains a home there.
Cheers
Artillery adds dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar brawl.
10 Things I Hate About You (1999) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0147800/ I couldn't stop laughing. Heath Ledger (RIP) and Joseph Gordon Levitt and Julia Stiles were 18-19 in this.
Unbelievable that's the same Joseph Gordon Levitt that was later in Inception
A pretty brutal revenge movie from our Aussie friends. This one had me flinching at times, especially if you are a male of the species. The perpetrators work in the porn industry so you know what's coming in this one scene
Think 'Law Abiding Citizen' (Gerald Butler) levels of violence as the protagonist seeks revenge for the death of his daughter.
The Bourne identity. How much money was in that red bag Bourne gave to that girl for helping him? She was able to open a motorcycle rental which look like it was also a diner: you can see many drink glasses and salt pepper shakers.
I saw two movies this weekend, "Jojo Rabbit" and the latest "Terminator: Dark Fate."
"Jojo" was cute, but I didn't find myself laughing much. Three stars out of four.
"Terminator" was pretty solid as an action movie until they jumped the shark when they stole the C-5 Galaxy. It was downhill from that point on. Two and a half stars out of four.

It's quite safe to say now that the studios will stop beating the extremely dead horse which is the Terminator franchise. How many box office flops did it take for them to finally realize that? Exactly three.

My guess is at least a couple of million. What's funny is that this movie came out in 2002 so there are a couple of hilariously out of date things done like actually using a big duffel bag full of cash for high level spy transactions. Now it's all either bitcoin or some other kind of encrypted digital transaction.

So I decided to learn more about this Paul Verhoeven guy works. I just watched this, https://www.amazon.com/Total-Recall-Arnold-Schwarzenegger/dp/B000IHL52W This movie is dumb. Like the part where the bad guys are shooting at Schnwarzenegger's hologram and they don't shoot each other. I went to IMDB to see if it's listed on their blooper list and it is.
First it doesn't work
Quote
When Richter and his crew are waiting to ambush Quaid at the reactor, they shoot at him from opposite sides not knowing that it's Quaid's hologram. This means that the bullets are passing through air (unless it's a bullet-absorbing hologram) but none of the shooters facing each other gets wounded, nor killed.
then it works?

Later, Melina uses the hologram to get two bad guys to shoot each other through her hologram.
a ton of mistakes in this film https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100802/goofs/. The new Total Recall is much better. You have 2 beautiful actresses in it. This old one you have a bottle blonde and the brunette looks like a guy. But I will give Verhoeven another chance: Basic Instinct is next. But I ain't hoping much cos it also stars the same bottle blonde. Verhoeven musta shagging her to put her back to back in 2 of his movies.

And yet the original Total Recall film is very well remembered by our pop culture while the reboot with Colin Farrell was forgotten about a few weeks after it came out in theaters. Why is that?

Confirmed. NFB is very young because nobody in their right mind would...
a) Dislike "Total Recall"
and
b) Dare say that the remake is better than the original.
Don't even bother watching "Repo Man," "Escape from New York," "Dark Angel," "Tango and Cash," "Demolition Man," or "Cobra." The Surgeon General warns that high levels of testosterone and manliness may result from such endeavors, and overdoses of sarcasm may induce crotch chafing leading to an increased urge to itch and shift.
How do you feel about Quentin Tarantino movies NoFlyBoy?
I’ve watched Blade Runner 2049 last weekend, and was really pleasantly surprised by it! I expected a cheap “by the numbers” rip-off, but it wasn’t anything like that and even worth watching if you’ve never seen the original.
Didn’t like the return of Harrison Ford though, it felt like he was being included just for the sake of being included.
Yeah,Blade Runner 2049 I thought was really good. I also had low expectations of it. Is it as good as the original? Close, but no cigar.
Please tell me you enjoy Tarantino movies NFB.
EV's are the Devils matchbox.

8/10
The entire story thread with Rachel becoming pregnant and then dying would have not meant anything had Deckard not been in the film so a very large part of the story would have had to have been re-written had Deckard not returned.
My only disappointment with BR 2049 is that Edward James Olmos had such a tiny amount of screen time reprising his role as Gaff. I feel he deserved more than that.

Tarantino is okay at times. He made some good. Bastards. Kill Bills, Machetes, Sin City, and some boring bad films Pulp Ficiton, Grindhouse, Hateful 8, Django and his last one, Once upon a time in Hollywood... PUT ME TO SLEEP.
