Vorhoven "gotta not be famous." Well, don't forget, you also never heard of Olivia Olivia de Havilland who was one of the most famous actresses in Hollywood. And the scene where the cop gets shot up had to be graphic. The audience had to see just how badly he had been mutilated for the whole idea to work. Just having him shot and then fall down, wouldn't really have worked, would it?

Totally crazy and a waste of human lives. Germans fired over 1 million artillery shells during 10 hours of the first day. During the near 10 month battle, in the 20 km battleground area of Verdun, over 16 million shells were fired. 9 villages were leveled and declared dead even to this day with zero population. Nearly 1 million men were killed, wounded, missing or taken prisoners on both sides with most of them being French. Those numbers do not include civilian casualties.
Anyone ever visited Fort Douaumont, the German goal on the first day, a fort on a piece of high ground dominating the entire area, and it's said because they failed to take it on the first day, it changed the entire course of the battle to come.
I was looking at other things actress who was Jack Ryan girlfriend has been in and found this Australia series, this is #%&*$# good https://vimeo.com/user112291161
Counterpart. J.K. Simmons' best performance since Whiplash.

I'd say it's been well established for a long time that WW I was exactly that.

Saw a nice late 80's cheesy thriller called "Season of Fear" last night. The film was pretty good, I give it *** out of ****. There were some nice twists and the ending had me yelling at the screen--just goes to show that even B movie sleezy thrillers can sometimes be fun and reasonable to watch.

The 10th and final episode of this season (2) of Condor. I spent 9 weeks watching this to get the ending they gave us tonight? Freaking lazy writers!
Also binged complete season 1 of Hunted with Melissa George. Excellent specially Melissa as a CIA spy, tougher and prettier than that lame Sydney Bristow, but to not renew it for a 2nd season is a crime.
One thing I learn from watching Condor and Hunted: do not work for the CIA or MI6 or whatever those intelligence (oxymoron) agencies are called. They will use you until they have no more use for you and then set you up to go to prison or assassinate you to silence you.

That's because most actors hire speech coaches so they don't lose their accents.
Another Kurosawa film, this time it was Ran. Ripped off King Lear for this one, but then again everybody steals from Shakespeare and he probably ripped stole it from someone else. While not as good as the Seven Samurai, it's still great and another of those movies where you can take nearly any scene and make an awesome painting out of it. The use of color just made everything pop.

I watched "Ran" just a couple of weeks ago and it's as brilliant as I remember it being when I previously watched it. It's now a 35 year old film. "Ran" was indeed heavily inspired by King Lear and you are probably familiar with "Throne of Blood" which was largely based on Macbeth.

al credits fade, there is the sound of a facehugger scurrying across from left to right.
When did the queen had time to lay an egg on the ship? The queen was stuck to the outside of the second drop ship and then it attacked the robot after they landed on the main ship.

Flyboy does bring up a valid point about the alien queen. There is really no logical explanation as to how an egg and thus eventually a facehugger could have ended up on the Sulaco.
