Hi all,

I've been getting back into WOFF after some time away, and I (in my foolishness excitment), have also returned to a bugbear that I had previously given up on. I want to get my engine controls set up per OldHat's thread here, and I can't quite figure out how to go about it. I'm using a CH Pro Throttle, and am flying Nieuports w/ RFC-60, so I want engine option no. 2 (cuts to idle below 50%, mixture must be managed at altitude). My first thought was that surely I just need to download CH's software and set the throttle's response curve such that it reads 0 until it reaches 50%, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be an option in that particular software. Does anyone here know of another option that might work?

EDIT: Just realised that maybe I should've put this in the technical issues subforum? My apologies if so. If a moderator confirms that for me, I'll delete and re-post.

Well, I'm not a moderator but I am inclined to agree that it should be in Tech Forum. Hope that helps

Can't find the delete option, unfortunately. The one in the "Edit Post" menu wouldn't let me, as it's the first post in a thread. I"ll hold off on re-posting until a mod is able to delete this wrongly-placed thread for me, with my apologies for the clutter.

Idling you need more than 0 rpm though. Maybe make it a low RPM (5%-10%) below 50 rather than 0 if that may. Perhaps it does not like 0.

Too low RPM and the engine will cut out anyway.

Or maybe use buttons instead to 0, 50, 100?

Take a look at Joystick Gremlin. It's quite robust and might be just the ticket.
