Spending all my time playing on the XBOX at the moment.

I am usually playing Forza Horizon 4 every other night. Always on Thursdays when the new Season challenges drop.
Also, playing through the Halo Master Chief collection. Started with Halo:Reach.

I have Alan Wake, I just have not played it yet.

Also, the new MS Flight Sim 2020 comes out in 3 weeks. I know, no guns or bombs, but it looks good. And I want to try it.

In my defense, I was left unsupervised...

No PC version?

edit: I found this info and I'm very happy to see that there WILL be a PC version!

"On 23 July 2020, it was announced that the game will be released in 2021 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X, which will be the first time the series will be on consoles."

I hope they manage to keep it scary and fresh. Shadow of Chernobyl is one of the greatest shooter metroidvanias ever made. Good writing is a must.

A little Graviteam Tactics Hooper and Modular, some IL2 Bodenplatte on the Occulus and countless hours in Hunt Showdown on PC. Cowboys vs other players during an zombie outbreak in the 1890s. Most fun in a game I have had in a couple of decades. The gunplay is so much fun.

I really enjoyed Risen 1. I never finished it but that's the one I played the most. Risen 2 I think I only have an hour in and it just didn't have what the first one did. I played a good chunk of Risen 3 too.

Alan Wake is an awesome, creepy, confusing game with a good narrative flow and great environment. I love the whittling down shadow enemies with flashlights before using weapons. I really hope they make an open world sequel.

I just started Ghost of Tsushima a few days ago. This game is awesome thus far. The thing that impresses and pleases me the most is how well the story telling is done as well as how the story telling is done in multitudes of ways within the game and the quest structure. If this keeps up, this is how open world RPG games should be done. NPCs have genuinely interesting dialogue. One minute an NPC is just an NPC eating then upon the next visit I can talk to him and he mentions something interesting that then opens a side quest but it still pertains to the over all narrative. There's a coherence and fluidity to what's being said in the game world. The other thing that impresses and pleases me is that so far, all the missions and their design are INTERESTING. Even a side quest becomes intriguing and has multiple stages with each stage being unique and interesting. I haven't seen any cookie cutter rehashing missions yet. That's how quests should play out and feel. It has a hand crafted feel throughout with great attention to detail it seems. The combat is fun and challenging and I haven't even started unlocking the different disciplines and maneuvers yet. Even though I just started, the stealth looks like its going to be a lot of fun. Elements of the game remind me of Splinter Cell and Tenchu with its stealth opportunities. I keep forgetting I can do this bu houses have doors and windows that can be entered, you can crawl through crawl spaces under the floors and climb onto houses. The island also feels pretty huge and well crafted. I don't want to spoil it but I got a vicious surprise the other day when engaged by mongol invaders. They had some help join them in their fight against me. It was vicious and unexpected but I was thrilled at the same time with this surprise and extra challenge. It has beautiful music that ebbs and flows organically throughout as well as a really great overall aesthetic including with its menus and cinematic titles on mission starts and so forth as well as great voice acting.

Just recently finished both Doom: Eternal and Terminator : Resistance. I recommend both games but will say that Doom: Eternal I found to be very difficult so I had to lower it a notch. I guess my reflexes aren't what they used to be. smile

Anymore its pretty hard on my brain and nerves dealing with chaotic and significantly difficult fighting games. I'm really enjoying Ghost of Tsushima but its combat is difficult and layered and hectic. I was wondering Panzer how you got along playing Jedi Fallen Order with a mouse and keyboard? I played the older Jedi games back in the day on mouse and keyboard and that's what they were made for so it worked fine as I recall. I'm also playing and enjoying Jedi Fallen Order on PS4 but play that with a controller. I use a controller on similar games on PC too. Some games a controller just comes in real handy.

Death Stranding, pc version.
Only managed to clock a little over 12 hrs so far. Loving every bits of it.
The atmosphere, the slow pace, the music, and the tortured world out there.

Cheers,
Slug

I would have probably already bought Death Stranding but for the price. £55 is too steep for me,or at least more than I feel comfortable paying for a game like this. The only other game I ever purchased that was more than that was Steel Beasts Pro PE.

I keep seeing comments on the game, usually along the lines of 'delivery simulator','boring' etc etc but it currently commands a 94% positive rating on Steam. I'll wait patiently for a sale.

It was a pain but I finally managed to get through the game. The game even has a disclaimer in the menus stating that the game is optimized to use a gamepad. I had to bump the difficulty down to "easy" towards the end of the game because some of those boss battles were just ridiculously hard for me.

Yep, I did feel guilty hitting that “confirm purchase” button, particularly with MFS 2020 right around the corner... Darn!

Don’t get thrown off by the delivery simulator comments, that’s what it is.
Mind you, it comes with all the bells and whistles you ever wished for :-P

Cheers,

I also dusted off my PS4 and have been playing Ghost of Tsushima. I would recommend anyone with a PS4 to give it a try.
Also learning the Viggen in DCS, it's a fun strike aircraft.

Just got into Barotrauma, of which I just finished the tutorial now.

Doing a series on Battle Group Commander: Episode One. It´s a four part (mission) mini campaign. I´ll upload the second mission tomorrow, but things start to getting interesting on the third mission were you actualy get a task force to command.

I always play some Insurgency Sandstorm, especially on the weekends, to keep my reflex sharp.

Got back into ArmA 3 and playing the Old Man campaign, I guess it fits me now LOL.

Some Angles Fall First, which I find a fun game.

And some Phantom Doctrine which I bought for the second time and decided to give it a go.

Far Cry 5 was a lot of fun to play in coop mode.

Can Barotrauma be played single player successfully?

I like slow, atmospheric games with beautiful and bleak worlds but I was uncertain of Kojima's Death Stranding. Plus I heard him make a political statement with regards to the game that I wholly object too. Is the game "preachy" or pushing some sort of one worldism narrative? I'd be interested in it if it has a fun, even kooky scifi story. The combat and stealth elements also looked pretty fun and very similar to MGSV. I also seemed to have read its pretty grindy especially at the beginning. The game play seems to be a larger scale version of some of what we saw in MGSV and the Mother Base mode which seems to be designed specifically to be addictive.
