Howdy all,

What is the last Intel CPU Microsoft was supporting for Windows 7 64-bit? Wasn't it Skylake? Does anyone know if that's true, and if Skylake-X was also supported?

i had no idea any CPUs were limited by the OS. What series is skylake again? I have a i5 8600k, socket 1151.

I think 6th gen was the last supported Intel CPU for Win 7. Yours is 8th gen I believe Behemoth. I have a 6th gen Skylake (i5 6600,1151)

I must admit I'd never heard of Skylake X but I see it's 9th gen. I did find this...

Officially there won't be support, but maybe it will still run, just with issues.
