Are you ignoring the atmospheric loss due to lack of stable magnetosphere?

it's not a viable strategy.

So lets go to Venus instead. It's already got an atmosphere. Yeah, it's really acidic, but if we threw a large enough Tums at it, just maybe we can turn that around.
