Man, so much for the nigerian princess bank scam or the lost box of war loot. This one got pretty sophisticated. FBI nabs Nigerian business scammer who allegedly cost victims millionsThe US government has gained custody of a Nigerian man who is accused of participating in a massive fraud and money laundering operation. The defendant, Ray "Hushpuppi" Abbas, has amassed 2.4 million followers on Instagram, where he flaunts his access to luxury cars, designer clothing, and private jets. The feds say that he gained this wealth by defrauding banks, law firms, and other businesses out of millions of dollars. He was arrested last month by authorities in the United Arab Emirates, where he had been living. These guys got some BIG money $$$$.Tons of videos and more detailed info on the Chicago companies scammed available. I just went for this arsTechnica article to see the comments. Usually a few smart folks there, and I enjoy their knowledgeable comments. https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy...mer-who-allegedly-cost-victims-millions/Smart crooks out there folks, be really careful with electronic info. I may have brought it up before, but the only card I use on the internet now is my Capital One MC because it has the built in capability to create a virtual card number for every online transaction. Works great, integrates into my browser(s) and very easy to use. Highly recomended FWIW.

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet. I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."

That astronaut scam is awesome. Friggin' awesome! Absolutely wonderful. Almost as cool as a LAW FIRM getting scammed for $900k by the scammer I posted about. PS: I actually met a guy in LA, born and raised in LA, who married a real Nigerian Princess. The guy is/was (dunno which) the "black sheep" of the wealthiest oil field maritime family in LA. Actually thought about taking a job there with him a couple of times. Stay like 9 months, come home it's tax free income. Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

These are both hilarious. Apart from the literal mistakes, one can often spot a scam because the greetings are too polite! I have been the recipient in the past of some very authentic looking notifications from HMRC (Our customs and Excise) but fall down on 'Hello hope you are well' and 'kind regards' Not the sort of warmth one would expect from the Tax Man!

Just for 24 hours I'll double your stimulus money... Why even bother anymore but, in the interest of preserving..errr, ummm...preserving mentally challenged planning (see...I didn't even mention congress) IF IT SEEMS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE...it probably is not true.
