Why are we still talking about a subscription?
They said there was none + you can play totally offline
IF they say that you have to pay to get full details always online streaming, then just dont... and stay with lower grahpics/fidelity, witch will be still better than FSX Dont understand people sometimes

What sort of idiot posts up footage that can identify themselves? They got what they deserved. I'm no fan of M$ but I'd have been happy for them to sue their stupid asses too.

Boy, this is sim is going to be groundbreaking. I won't have a rig that can handle it for a long time, so I'll just have to drool over the screenshots you guys post.

My interest in civil aviation sims has always been low key mainly because the scenery has never been 'good enough' to immerse me. This looks to change all that.
I have fast fibre internet but I too worry about my hardware Pooch. A GTX970 just isn't going to cut it by the looks of it.

I'm in the alpha. I'm likely going to initially get this on GamePass to see what the release version looks like. If it's everything that we've seen in the feature discovery videos, I will very likely purchase the Premium version due to my real life playground being the SF Bay Area and I want the hand crafted KSFO airport.
I plan on recording a real world flight to post on my channel, and also recording a flight in FS2020 with the same starting conditions (weather, time, etc) to compare and contrast the scenery, timing, flight characteristics, etc. I will likely also include X-Plane in this comparison video.
I am looking forward to the release, although I am managing my own expectations and I recommend y'all do the same. I very much hope it delivers on all of its promises!
EDIT: The tech in the game has a LOT of promise and very much like DCS World you can see the direction they want to go with it and once they get there it will very much be incredible. I'm just suggesting tempering expectations for the release next month, and hopefully they are indeed working on a completely separate build from the alpha for the release version.
EDIT EDIT: This thread has exploded way bigger than I expected it to and I mentioned it in another reply somewhere in here, yet I plan on doing a real world flight, recording it, and re-modeling it in FS2020 as well as in XPlane after the official release of Flight Simulator, and compare and contrast the differences between the three.https://www.reddit.com/r/hoggit/com...i/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2xAt launch there won't be VR and Track IR support. That's a bad sign for me... At least it'll be available on xbox gamepass for PC so i'll test it before making a purchase.

At launch there won't be VR and Track IR support. You just have to be kidding... I can't believe they would leave it out. I don't have VR, but TrackIR not even included?

I'am sure it will be implemented, just not from Day 1. And I agree, that's a bad joke.

August release? I didn't think we were going to see this until the end of the year. Isn't it still in Alpha? Alpha to release in one month? Well, I'm looking forward to hearing, and seeing, what you guys all think of it. I can't afford a new rig, and won't for quite a while, so I'll just enviously watch from the sidelines.

Oh, and by the way to you guys who are testers. I saw a Pitts in a screenshot. Has that been added to the default plane list?
