Yup,
one of my favorite books too. Looks very tempting. Haven`t read the books in years, I think I have to get them again.

I'll be reading the Foundation Trilogy again this year in preparation for watching the series next year.

And already the ugly serpent of political correctness has reared its head in the trailer.
They are great novels that deserve a dedicated and accurate retelling.

Yeah, well, some of us aren't ignorant or oblivious to obvious attempts at social re-engineering in television and film adaptations or unique shows.
Some of us don't appreciate being manipulated and brainwashed.

What are you referring to exactly? In the books the race/ethnicity of almost all the characters is never mentioned.

Most don't give a flying #%&*$# about "political correctness" and don't get all insulted about it.
I couldn't care less if they changed some characters gender or colour (not knowing what you're getting stuck up about, but it's usually one of those two). It has nothing to do with the real story.
The gender of a character absolutely does matter to a story. The division of the human race into two sexes is the one immutable and universal human characteristic. But if it really does not matter, why change it? If it does matter, why can we not object when it is changed?

Watched the trailer again.
I think I will pass. So sad as I really loved the books.
Shoulda known, from Apple.
