hey all,

I had made a post in the community hall but I decided to post down here as it is more tech oriented of a problem now then just a general problem of connecting to a server..

the problem I have is after about 2 minutes I get disconnected from the minecraft realm with a NVAPI64.dll error. now this is for the NVidia drivers from what I tracked down.. now being the tech I am I tried multiple drivers and used DDU to uninstall reinstall clean but I keep getting this error..

Now it has to be related to the new version of Minecraft which currently is 1.9, I did not have this problem with 1.8.9.. so since Minecraft uses java and I see no way of fixing this unless Mojang fixes it from what I can tell..

I was just wondering besides a driver reinstall there would be no way of correcting if that dll was corrupt correct?? Please don't point me to a dll fixer upper website they are bunk..

WEll going to report this too Mojang and hopefully they find it is a bug and can fix this as it is annoying to constantly get kicked from the server I am paying for wink

I had gotten a email from Mojang he is trying to say it is a memory leak and my intel drivers are probally the cause..

I wish I had a dollar evertime some guy claims drivers are the issue that is just bad support.. I did test that theory and I detected NO Memory leak whatsoever.. it is definitely something with 1.9 and realms..

I don't think Mojang is going to be much help and the support forums are not much help either.. so I see 2 options continue to pay for the server so my nephew can play on it or just cancel my sub??

Well Initial reports says it was my SSD, for some reason I think because it was written to too many times there was a defect spot or something and when it write there I would error out..

I put in my velociraptor drive and it seemed to be just fine in minecraft realms.. so much for SSD's again I will not use them for a long time to come..

Well another problem cropped up and the NVidia 3D Wrapper no longer works I get a CTD Immidietely on startup.. I did fix this yesterday as it happened then and I fixed it real easy but for the life of me I can not remember what it was that I did to fix the problem..

The game works fine when I uninstall the wrapper so maybe it is there somewhere?? just thinking aloud..

I enjoy Minecraft but one thing I never liked is the way it installs to the AppData folder which is supposed to be a
system folder not a games folder.

I found a way around it though by using a .bat file with the following in it

set APPDATA=%CD%\data
minecraft.exe

Just put the bat file and minecraft.exe in a folder of your choise and make a shortcut to the bat file. Minecraft will install to that folder instead of the AppData folder.

I don't know if it might have any bearing on the problems you've been having but I've never had any nvidia driver crashes with it.
It probably not a good idea to let javaw.exe bypass your firewall so might be worth trying.

Well I took the javaw.exe exception off and it still worked.. I guess to have the launcher as an exception is OK??

Well after some digging around and with Mojang support help I think I found my Problem.. it is the windows firewall causing my disconnects..
I completely disabled the firewall and sucssefully played for 1/2 and hour.. now I do not want to have my firewasll disabled so how can I keep my firewall on and not have the realm disconnect me all the time??

any windows 7 firewall experts want to chime in??

I first heard about this server and about this technology that connects Minecraft to Bitcoin. It seems interesting, I would say more, precisely this server is interesting. By the way, I still created a server, but it is simpler, I would say it is very simple
