The Phalempin airfield is now complete and added into the Consolidated Mods. It won't be released until JJJ65 has a chance to update his ME mod to incorporate the changes but it should be very soon.

Well Robert,
You've really done it this time. That's uncanny - the detail. The hangars, the readiness hut, the rudder/weathervanes - and it's not just the aerodrome. The village, with it's houses, cafe, estaminet, the train station and the village church. It's the gold standard for historical accuracy.
Bravo !

Thanks Shredward. There is so much more that could be done in the village but I have decided to keep it small to save on possible FPS impact and to just get it released. I may go back later with another update if my testing for FPS impact shows that it can be done.

I have to express considerable thanks to Fullofit for patiently teaching me the ins and outs of basic modelling in GMAX. I am now fairly comfortable with basic building but still not capable with human figures and vehicles.4

Best Regards

.

That is indeed a gem Robert, outstanding job! It should be in the next WOFF release, IMHO.

Wow! Looks great! Can't wait to get this one into the game. You guys really set the standard even higher with this one!

Thank you for all the hard work and dedication to making these long gone pieces of history come to life.

One question... How do you go about choosing which ones to make? Is it by location? Size? Historic value?

Thanks!

Can't speak for anyone else, but for me it's a process of researching and weighing the historic significance and available information on the many WWI aerodromes that need to be recreated. From there spreadsheets are drawn up in order to organize, quantify, and prioritize everything. At this point I then toss it all aside and build whichever one suits my current whim. A most scientific and effective approach.

Oh Lou, and I thought you selected them by the amount of ladies it would attract. The magic is gone now.
Robert, congrats on another beauty!

Well you are not too far off Fullofit. I mean, why else would I include a Cafe/wine bar, and then of course there is the comfortable Officers Hut to entertain rhe fine damsels biggrin

Great stuff thanks for your hard work Robert.

One thing I mentioned before, the houses with the dark wooden lines on the walls I still think they need to be toned down some as they stand out a lot as more high contrast than others.

I haven't checked but does the read me mention use of OBD objects and so on?

Hi Mark

The housez I used are stock WOFF. Only the quadrangle style building, railway station, bakery, cafe, brick hangars and officers hut are mine. Can you be more specific which of mine you are referring to?

The Readme contains the normal disclaimer that I use in all my mods. If you want any specific changes I will accomodate you.

Best Regards

Great work, Robert and Fullofit. Thanks also to Lou and anyone else who helped out on this valuable addition to WOFF!

Don’t thank me Bob, I only showed Robert how to build that rudder. Now he has to build the rest of that plane. stirthepot
