New mobo, cpu, gpu, ram. Just want to make sure i've got it right. Wipe current SSD after backup, boot pc with windows installer on stick, fresh install. Pretty sure i have to make sure my Win key is tied to ms live account, cross fingers and hope for the best.

Hi is the SSD a Nvme drive?? either way there is a thing called secure erase that will reset the SSD to like a factory fresh drive.. I have this feature on Parted Magic, it is a payware program ffor like 10 bucks USD that is bootable that loads on the RAM and has several utilities to use..

Now I beleive there are other programs out there that have this utility and I would check the SSD Manufacturer for a Utility they may have that has this capability.. I have a secure erase on my Motherboard BIOS that is handy maybe you have ssimilar on your mothereboard..

It's an older 840evo with secure erase. I'm thinking i will clean it and use it as a junk drive and grab an 860 500gb to do the new install. I'm not up to date on the nvme stuff at all although the board i am grabbing does support it. Should i be looking into it?

Edit - did some research and from what i can see i don't need it. Most demanding thing my pc does is il2gb with tir5, a tab open and discord.
