I must admit that I wasn’t familiar with Van Halen until after they got their massive mainstream success with “1984”. I was 12 years old at the time though so I shouldn’t be too harsh on myself.

As I mentioned somewhere else Dave's voice was not what I remembered from the Albums during their heyday. Made me wonder how much help he got in the studio recordings.
