well i seems Dxwnd is getting better overall with its newer versions - i have Janes F/a-18 version 1.01f with the Team Super Hornet mod/addon installed and i ran it through Dxwnd yesterday and the game will start -
best to do it windowed,
the initial screen will be unresponsive but if i move it out of the way then there is a screen behind it in which the game seems to run and respond fine both with its menus and missions which i think is scalable too in size -
the only crash comes when i try to start a campaign - not sure whether the campaigns crash because of the teamsuperhornet mod or because of the game itself due to being old

fortunately with the Team Super Hornet addon there look to be along single missions available and the instant action option too

I've been playing around with F-18 using Dxwnd, everything works perfectly, even the campaign except for the radar slowdown. Any ideas ?

do you have the Team super hornet patch applied?

what Dxwnd settings are your using? - can you upload/pm me your saved config profile for Janes Fa-18 - i would like to run the campaigs

okay i reinstalled and doing all the patching right - i think messed up something before - the campaign is working in the 1.01f version for me so far, just installing tsh through jsgme now

what is the radar slowdown issue you are having specifically? there may be a dxwnd fix that the creator of dxwnd Ghotik will be able to address - he is pretty good with attending to these

okay its working now and with campaigns working in TSH version - great it seems all to be fairly stable too - i see that yes if i change to weapon mode with the M key that the one with the growling sound there is a slow down of all the frame rates

this should have some fix, i will check with dxwnd forum in a while and see

sorry for getting back late but I guess you have found out the AA slow down. If you can find a fix for this it will be awesome. Been years since I touched F/A-18.

is there any way of playing jane's f-15 with a keyboard because i do not have a joystick...
