Since last week, i'm working on trying to lose 17 kg of excess weight. As a sincere believer in pasta, this is requiring some lifestyle changes, like cutting out as many carbs as possible. There's a reason why the number 1 food of choice for Hollywood actors to gain weight rapidly for a film role is pasta. And how do new Sumo wrestlers gain weight during their training? RICE. Carbs suck!

That pool looks refreshing! Late yesterday evening it was refreshing, a nice cool off before bed pool temp is 30c (86f) just now, not putting the water through the solar panels now as it could quickly get too hot, I have had it up to 36c but that was like sitting in a cup of tea The water is slightly salt and I use a chlorine generator, it is far easier to maintain that, than adding chlor bloks every few days/weeks, all I need do is keep an eye on water balance and vacuum the bottom every week, around 76cubic meters of water (22,077 US Gallons) 16ftx32ft area and 1.2m deep (47") I could fill it up by another 4" but then it splashes out when the kids are horsing about in it.

Out of curiosity, do you have A/C at your house? Just asking since I know homes with no A/C in Europe is still quite common. I figure that is fine during the winter months but it still gets really hot in the summer in most of Europe.

inside the house is 26.4c That's not too bad IF you aren't doing any kind of strenuous physical activity or sitting in front of a running PC. Then again, I tend to get hot and sweaty VERY easily so I keep my house consistently at around 23 C.

I had a "Parisian Breakfast." I smoked two cigarettes while drinking a cup of coffee.

Dang NoFlyBoy, you are hitting at my weakness

May sound weird to many but I am having fresh mangoes + banana omelet those days.
Cheers, Slug

I had a "Parisian Breakfast." I smoked two cigarettes while drinking a cup of coffee. And supposedly the Dutch breakfast is one pancake and two cigarettes!
