The outdoor exhibit aircraft and most of the facility looks seriously weather-beaten, but regardless would make for an interesting visit.

It's not going to be around for much longer in its current form, the exhibits are going to be moved to the military themed Moscow Patriot Park some time in the near future.

Of course, that doesn't seem to be a particularly great loss...

I would absolutely love to visit that museum. I just have to learn at least a few Russian phrases before I go.

Sorry, I hope they come up with a virtual exhibit, awesome machines. Particularly interested in the Vacuum tube "solid state" electronics. winkngrin

LOL, I am a product of my generation.

I look at those ground vehicles and think:

Variable Time (VT) is okay for those, HE is fine for those, probably need to call in Copperhead rounds on those, FASCAAM for all of it.

Yep, definitely qualifies as a suspected truck park.

I've been there in 2008.
It is impressive place, but outdoor exposition really needed a wash. And it seems it still does.
Another problem is that you can't get close to most aircrafts and the way they are parked makes it impossible to get a look from all sides

Hopefully they address those issues after they're moving, many of those aircraft are historic prototypes and shouldn't be treated like they're in a salvage yard.

In the case of the MiG-25s, I believe those are early prototypes of the interceptor and recon variants, while MiG-31 in the foreground is a standard prototype while the one in the back may be a record setting platform ala the F-15 Streak Eagle.

Love the T-4 in the first picture. Blatant copy of the XB-70.

The SU-25 with the six rocket pods immediately reminded me of my early Lock On: MAC days.

2nd photo looks like Mig-29's, along with a SU-25 and the Concordski.

3rd photo has everything under the sun, Mi25, Mig-31, Mig-23, A SU-24 Fencer (I think), Mig-21's, Mig-19, Mig-17, Mig-15 and assorted other stuff.
