I have been pounding my head on this all morning. I have two programs that work (extract for a better term) and two that wont. The ones the work are the Mission Editor and the Pilot log, both of those have and exe file in the download. The two the wont are the Multi-Mod and the Encyclopedia, which do not have and exe in the download. When I click on the configure file all a get is a list of files with a class extension but nothing executable. What am I doing wrong here?

Have you tried to click on *.jar file? If so and list of class extension opens, then you have associated jar files to WinRar or WinZip extractor. You must cancel this association to archive extractors. See also here or here .

When I click on the WOFF-Multimod_configurator.jar it will open two folders 1)META-INF and 2)woff_multimod-configurator. When I open the woff_multimod_configurator, it opens 56 (I think) individual class files and no *.jar or *.exe files This is using Winrar which seems to work better the Winzip or 7-zip.

Yep, that is definitely wrong and caused by wrong association. You must disable the association of jar files to Winzip and/or Winrar. The *.jar file is not archive file but JAVA executable. Try to right click on jar file, choose option "Open in application..." and then select "Java (TM) Platform SE binary".

I have tried the above, however I have and "Open With" not "Open in application". When I use that I get a flash of a dos window that opens and closes and that is all, it does it so quickly you can't stop it to see what it says.

Beard, download the following zip file and extract the folder it contains called "WOFF UE Encyclopedia". Move that folder into your Jar mods folder. click to download Once you have done that, go into the "WOFF UE Encyclopedia" folder and copy the file called "WOFF UE Encyclopedia - Shortcut" to your desktop. Now right click on the WOFF UE Encyclopedia - Shortcut on your desktop; select "properties", and in the "Target" and the "Start in" fields, change the disk drive letter from "G" to the letter of the drive you have the jar mods on. If you did all that correctly you should be able to double click on the destop "WOFF UE Encyclopedia - Shortcut" and it should launch the app for you. let me know if that works for you. Best Regards

Robert, unfortunately it works exactly the way it did in the above message, just a flash of the dos window.

Ok Beard;
You can delete the folder I sent you as it didn't resolve your issue.

Well, that pretty much works, however the encyclopedia kicks off a Trojan alert in Windows Defender and the Mission Editor hangs on populating airfields, I never get to an individual pilot. The Multimod seems to work. I am entering the time of year when I don't fly because of heat and to much light through the window to run TracIr, so I'm pretty much limited to Saturday Mornings (if I don't sleep in), lol.
Thank You, Mike

@All, Those who are having occasional quirks with Windows Defender and Jara's Java applets for WOFF/WOTR - I recommend checking over the open-source "ConfigureDefender" program that is available in 32- and 64-bit vers. for Win10. Several extra options for tweaking/toggling Defender available in the Configurator - that are missing from the baked-in Defender settings panel in Win10. Most likely this open-source program works only on Win10 Pro, but it might work on other variants of Win10 too (maybe also Win8.1). Worth a shot for those whose WinDefender is misbehaving. I run the Configurator settings at "High" and haven't had any trouble - recommended however is to turn off "real-time" virus protection while downloading JJJ's MissionEd. and MultiMod., otherwise Defender tends to spit them into the trash because of the exe shortcuts contained therein. ~ For my various FM/AI/FPS/DM Mods. for First Eagles 2, WoFF, RoF & WoTR, and tips for FlightGear, recommended is to check over my CombatAce profile ( https://combatace.com/profile/86760-vons/) and to click on the "About Me" tab while there. ~
