Also extremely good news. I don't fly with labels, so I have no proof, but I've always felt I was running into other planes too soon.

Can we have Gas clouds back please?

Also love to see hand signals from Flight leader, or maybe wiggle of wings when he is going to attack enemy etc. I know that's asking alot, Gas back would be great though

Maybe we will see. If I remember correctly Gas clouds had a large fps hit so were removed I believe at some point. The rest all possible but maybe not for this one. Updating 3 million aircraft takes a while.

I’m also looking forwards to what magic OBD can conjure next

OT..I also loved the gas clouds in earlier versions I’m wondering if there’s a modder who’s willing look at this and then we’d have an option to turn off/on if it does affect FPS? Cheers all

You heard it here first. The next update will have 2,999,920 new aircraft. wink I think this could be more than the usual "two weeks" gentlemen.

Even if it did, someone would still #%&*$# about the price. LOL

$1 per plane x 2,999,920 planes = $2,999,920 jawdrop

wink that would be something, each individual aircraft ever used fully kitted out exactly as the pilot really had it, including all the changes, damage repairs, re-rigging states etc.

lol Pol you beat me too it ... i was going to comment along the same lines, and also ask out of curiosity - is there an 'order of magnitude' number out there as to how many individual aircraft were involved in the great war? would it have been in the thousands? or even more ... 'tens of thousands'? just curious

regards, Ron

.

According to the “Illustrated Encyclopedia of Military Aircraft”, the totals for aircraft production during WWI are as follows.

France: 67,987
Great Britain: 58,144
Germany: 48,537
Italy: 20,000
USA: 15,000
Austria-Hungary: 5,431
Russia: 4,700

Of these, France lost 52,640, Great Britain lost 35,973, and Germany lost 27,637. Loss numbers for the other countries were not available in the quoted source.

Do I win, do I win? And if so, what? biggrin

France lost 77% of all their aircraft?! Mon Dieu!

Talk about paying the iron price.

Indeed, start at a SPAD 7 or Nieup. 23/24 level, at a minimum. I'll have to try a French career eventually, will probably go with the SPAD 7 and ... slash and dash, if possible. No dogfighting except for the initial turn into/towards target.

Considering they designed the Spad A2 Flying Pulpit... I can understand why the numbers were so high....
