I liked the Enterprise theme, the visual sequence was great for presenting the advancement of flight and the lyrics paired with it quite well.
My favorite theme is that of Voyager.

It's very hard to go wrong with Jerry Goldsmith. The guy composed so many classic scores: Star Trek: The Motion Picture Alien Patton The Blue Max Tora, Tora, Tora Planet of the Apes And many others!

What I like about Jerry Goldsmith is that his music rarely has any signature tones, and seems completely customized to each movie.
Not to disparage someone who has passed on, but James Horner's music is almost identical in some parts from movie to movie. I'm a big fan of Horner's scores but you are correct in that he has re-used several of his signature tunes. Star Trek II and Aliens both have striking similarities if you listen to those soundtracks back to back.

That was awesome . . . and, for my money, the Jerry Goldsmith ST:TMP/TNG theme is one of the most beautiful pieces of modern music ever created. A lot of fans complain about different aspects in ST: The Motion Picture (too slow, too boring, etc.) but I've never seen a post from even one fan complaining about the music.

Well, I clicked on the link on the OP, and just "wasted" 2 hours listing to that gal and several other violinists doing themes and mixes from movies and such . . . beautiful. You're welcome
