L'Etoile du Nord
.

Greetings All,

Since my DID pilot had to move from Vert Galand to the large service aerodrome at Estrée-Blanche I decided to knock together a more historically accurate representation of this famous camp. Using the excellent photo, drawing, and description in Alex Revell's "High in the Empty Blue" I was able to build this one without too much muss or fuss. I even added in a smattering of buildings to represent the town of Estrée-Blanche as well, which sat down the hill just south of the aerodrome.

My plan is to package this one with Vert Galand and offer both once I have the autumn and winter tiles done for them. So many historic aerodromes to build, so little time. And then there's that Italian Front to get back to as well. biggrin

Cheers!

Lou

Lou, that is one good looking target for the Hun to bomb. Congrats on another beauty.

I love it. Can't wait to use it. I really like the addition of the village. Always a nice touch.
