Me too. For two reason really, first because of the obvious, it's been a long time and everyone has suffered long enough.
Second, so that her parents can lose the terrible stigma they've lived with all this time, there is a significant and vocal community who say the parents themselves are directly responsible.

Terrible case. A little girl is missing and now presumed dead

I hope they catch the evil person/people who did this.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

According to the article I read the Germans have a suspect who has priors with children and is already in custody. I just hope this does not end up being a useful idiot scenario that allows them to close the case even though it was not their crime.

I remember that. The thing is fishy from the beginning. Her parents left her and the other kids alone in the hotel room and they went to dinner. Okay, dining room was on the same floor 60 yards away. Still doesn't make it right. Could they see every entry and exit point of the hotel room from their dining table? Questionable parenting.

Depends on how old the oldest kids were. If the oldest were in their teens then I don't see a problem with having them babysit the younger ones. Parents do that all the time.

Madeline was 3 and she was left in the hotel room with her twin siblings who were 2. The parents also left the patio door of the hotel room that goes into the swimming pool area unlocked so they can check on their children by entering through the patio area without having to walk all the way around to the front door.

Oh wow. That was utterly irresponsible and foolish. I'm honestly flabbergasted any parents would do that.

It definitely seemed as if they wanted their kids to "disappear" from the start...

I don't know if they also do that at home but they were on a vacation in a foreign country and you would assume they will be even more vigilant.

Anyone who's had kids knows you don't do that.
