The big question is whether they can deliver the traditional gameplay along with the modern graphics.

They may not, but this does not mean it won't be a success. For the majority now, graphical realism seems to be the main part of what constitutes realism, rather than the concept of the whole action itself.

Hows is this EAW related? (except the wwII theme)
Where these games related?

I only seen The Mighty Eighth game. I heard its a fun game though. Looks good for the era/time it was made.

The common factor is that both games were originally made by Microprose. Presumably, if they remake The Mighty Eighth, it is not implausible to suggest that a remake of EAW is not out of the question.

I wonder if they have the source code and old tools (and there src) they used to make EAW.

I would think that todays game engines are probably a lot better than what we had when EAW first came out..If they kept the same feel as the original it will be great.

Of course today's engine are better., better real world physics and all. But thats not EAW.

I doubt it. In any case what this thread is about is a remake of their "B-17 Flying Fortress" and not EAW frown
