Never seen this before. My latest claim in my ongoing DID campaign is pending but the text is mostly missing. See attached screenshot.
However, claims.txt file for Pilot 8 shows the full text, complete with my rather creative spelling:
21/;5/;1917;13h;53;Flanders;Flez;Balloon Busting;Sopwith Pup;1;Observation Balloon;Craft hit by 2 Le Pieur rockets ans well as incendiery ammunition. Enemy Observation Balloon e/a observed to emit bl;ack smoke then burst into flames and crashed to the ground. e/a was seen to burn and crash NW of Vitry-en-Artois. William Strugnell and G A 'Milford' Hyde also observed complete destruction of enemy Observation balloon. Witnessed by: Oliver M 'Stewpot' Stewart (This is probable - witness was flying in B Flight at the time, and this pilot was reportedly in the area) Status : Pending ;38;Sopwith_Pup;RFC-54;Observation Balloon;;g_obs_balloon,
I've never seen this before so I thought I'd run it up the flagpole here. I am running a few graphic mods but I don't believe those should have any impact.
Not a huge deal, and I'm happy to chock this up to the idiot brass hats at Wing.
However, I am concerned that this will just hang there forever and to test that, I removed all Mods, backed up my campaign and pilot files then advanced time. One month later the claims pending icon is gone but the claim is still showing as pending in my Logbook. Any Ideas or is it time for a reinstall?
WOFF PE 5.04-4247
edit: just took a closer look and the narrative in the screen cap stops at the semicolon that got popped into the word 'black' I wonder if the program didn't like that.
edit 2:Solution was to use the backed up pilot claims.txt file with the offending semi-colon removed

I suppose the semicolon in the "bl;ack" word is the problem. WOFF considers it as an unexpected stop mark.

Yes, it's the case of the ill-placed semicolon. I wonder if I'm just stuck with the forever pending claim. As an experiment I removed the semicolon from the claims.txt file but that had no effect. I have assume that a reinstall is pointless if I use the backed up pilot files.
