I installed and patched this game this past week and I think the game is a cross between microsoft combat flight simulator 1 and il-2. I see some stuff from both games in it. The game is decent and fun to play. I won't use the term "arcade" style because it is more a simplistic ww2 flight sim as opposed to an advanced one. But that doesn't mean it is not fun, as the simple one's are usually full of it. The air to air is pretty decent but I think the air to ground bombing is very good. Unlike Jane's ww2 fighters you can use the whole aircraft example b-17 you can be any of the gunners the pilot or bomber to complete a mission and switch from one to another while doing it. I looked it up on wikipedia and noticed the game was in development for a long time as different companies had internal problems etc.

I think the game is missing some single player missions and could use another patch to touch things up and complete it. It's too bad no one did. I think it is still a 8.5/10 ww2 sim for it's all simplicity

Are or were there any unofficial patches, fixes, skins or missions for this game?

I recently installed this about 3 months ago and messed around with it a bit. I don't think there is much in the way of user made missions as the community didn't really latch on to this one. I have a vague recollection that I found some missions somewhere but I can't remember.

I'm at work right now, but when I get home I will have a look and see if I downloaded anything. I know my SSD drive was getting full but can't remember if I dumped the Attack Squadron stuff.

I searched around including the internet archive and really couldn't find much in the way of user created missions. I fired up the mission editor to see if it works. Don't fire up the mission editor...ever.

It's the most unintuitive editor...or software for that matter...that I've ever seen. I see a lot of complaints that they didn't give any type documentation for the editor...so I guess that's why there isn't many missions out there.
