Captain Hampton was the first female US Military pilot to be shot down and killed in action. She grew up in my hometown, graduated from my high school, started the JROTC program my sons would attend just a few years after her. There are a lot of familiar faces in this video, a lot of memories stirred.

Rest well Kimberly.

Just read a short bio on her after reading your post.

That was a very moving memorial documentary. She was ambitious yet always smiling with a wink if she liked you, the type of personality you admire and gravitate to. RIP.

Also, nice library they have there (current Google Earth [6/3/18] shows the memorial section being cleared).

Gives way and suddenly it’s day again
The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph
Could be the human race is run

Thanks, it is a very nice library. It was planned before her death and named in her honor while under construction.
