Hi Folks;

Although there are still a few buildings I would like to make and place in the mod, I would like to release it as it is right now, for testing. Once it is fully complete I will add it to the Consolidated Airfields mod and be hosted on Sandbagger's WEB site.

If you are currently flying for Jasta 30, you will find this mod a major historical enhancement over the stock Phalempin airfield.

This mod is a self extracting ".exe" which will install the mod into your JSGME Mods folder.

Please let me know of any issues/anomalies that you notice or encounter.

The Mod can be downloaded from my dropbox here: CLICK TO DOWNLOAD

Brief Description:

This mod is a fully stand alone PE and UE compatible mod which can be run concurrently with the “WOFF PE 4a UE – Consolidated Custom Airfields Mod”.

If you are currently using the “WOFF PE 4a UE – Consolidated Custom Airfields Mod”, you will receive a warning from JSGME when you load the WOFF PE Phalempin Aerodrome Mod REMAKE by RJW. Do not be concerned as it is only over writing files pertinent to Phalempin and once you remove the mod from being active in JSGME, the original files that were replaced will be restored.

This Phalempin airfield mod will eventually be added to the consolidated mod at which time you should stop using this stand alone version if you currently use or are planning to use the “WOFF PE 4a UE – Consolidated Custom Airfields Mod”, as the Phalempin mod will then be redundant.

This new version of Phalempin now contains historical representation for the Three main hangars, Officers Hut, and many other features including road infrastructure. A representation of the town of Phalempin has been added including newly constructed factory, Café, Bakery, and Railroad Station. Much thanks goes to Fullofit for his aid in helping me develop the skills necessary to produce these buildings.

Many of the figures on the airfield have been graciously provided by Geezer for use in WOFF. “Panama Red” of SimHQ must be thanked for his effort to place many of these figures into the mod. Much consultation was provided by RAF_Louvert, Raine, Shredward, and Fullofit on historical aspects to consider. JJJ65 (Jara) for technical assistance. OBD must also be thanked for providing such a fantastic sim product in WOFF, without which, this mod would not exist.

I'll bet this is special, Robert. I'll start a Jasta 30 career and give it a try later today, and thanks for your excellent work!

Robert, No thanks necessary. All I did was tell you what not to do, after you’ve already done it.
Congrats on another superb release.

Hi Adger, post awat but I notice that the Officer's hut in the second shot is not right. It is missing the proper textures and the veranda.
I will have to check that as it is fine on my end.

If anyone else sees the same image Adger has, let me know please

Best Regards

I have found the phantom building and removed it from my mod. Please download the mod again from the same link provided above in my first post.

I just wanted to point how Robert is recreating a time long gone, and this is just one small part of the virtual Phalempin. Here are some vintage photos of La Gare, faithfully reproduced on his virtual Phalempin aerodrome. The sheds, the hangars, the Kasino are all little wonders
Salut Robert !

Shredward, I owe you for finding those pictures. When I build the model I only had a picture of it as it is today and as you can tell from the model it is currently stucco on the outside.
I will have to rework the texture to make it more as it was in the 1900's.

Many thanks

Looks fantastic! Nice to see another historic German drome come alive in the game! Great work!

Of I can pass on one bit of suggestive advice... keep an eye on your color saturation levels on some of your building textures. Most notable on the roofs and building colors. It's ok that stuff is painted bright, but looks more realistic when it's saturation is matched to the surrounding scenery.

I'm looking forward to adding this one in!

Hi all,
Rob Wiggins has released 'Phalempin Aerodrome' as a stand-alone mod until it is added it to the consolidated mod

The download is available in the 'User Mods Pages' (Airfields).

Airfields

NOTE: Read the 'README' file first before installing this mod.
Also, if you have the 'WOFF PE Phalempin Aerodrome Mod REMAKE by RJW' installed, you must remove it as this mod supercedes it.

The page is dated 15th June 2020. If you don't see that date in the header block of that page, clear your internet cache or refresh the page.
