How to fly EAW at GameRanger

You need to set-up an account using the link in my signature.
When you have done that and you launch GameRanger you will get an opening screen with the "Main" window and the "Friends" window:

The essential step is to set the path to the EAW exe that you want to use.
Click the "Edit" menu and choose "Options"

A list of games is displayed:

Scroll down to "European Air War" and select it:

Because I already have a path set it is displayed in the Location

The path is to the exe in one of my UAW160 folders but I will now change it to a 1.28c folder.
A new user would need to do this
Click on "Browse" and a file-selector window appears:

Navigate to the folder that you want to use and select the "eaw.exe":

Click "Open" and you will be back with the path shown in the Location

Close the Options window and try hosting a game by clicking the "Host" button.
Optionally you can set your description and conditions but there is no need to for a test:

You are likely to see this window, and if you do just click "Continue"
[Linked Image]

Your room will open and you can click "Start"
[Linked Image]

When you do you will be in the "Parameters" screen and you can click "Launch"

The briefing screen will appear, click "OK" and you will be in the air smile

Note that in the normal situation you would probably be joining an existing game shown in the main window.
The host should have posted a description so that you know which theatre to use, and then you can set up your theatre offline. Then select the game and click the join button.

Here "Hector" has opened a room which I have selected. The "Join" button is active so I will click it:

Now I am in Hector's game room, but there is no "Start" button because I am not the host. It is up to Hector to start the game:
