Weather has been great recently, ideal for nitrate doping the now covered tailplane, elevators, rudder and ailerons. But now it's turned cooler and damp, so time for a bit of WOFF.

Wow! That's impressive!!

I've been an aircraft mechanic for almost 30 years, I'm always impressed with guys like you that think nothing of slapping together an old bird like this in their backyard barns. That's maintenance! That's the core of aviation right there.

Good on you for being one of those guys that just doesn't think twice about the amount of work and attention to detail building one of these requires! Can't wait to see it done.

Can I make a suggestion on the livery?

Josef Jacobs! That would look amazing! Please not another MvR... or Jasta 11. Would be great to see something totally different!

Joseph Mai - Jasta 5 (which WAS a Jasta 11 crate painted over into Jasta 5 colors)

Or anyone from Jasta 26

Thanks for the kind comments chaps.
The colour scheme has been chosen, but I'm keeping it a secret for now. Rest assured it will not be MvR red or Jasta 11.

Wow! Look at this beauty! Where did you get the plans with all the details to build it? I bet the centrefold was at least three pages!

Thanks.
The drawings were made in the '60's by Ron Sands with input from Reinhold Platz who worked with Anthony Fokker on the original in 1917.
