Hellshade, how about your analysis of WOFF terrain changes. Any teasers there??

, Do ‘elderberries’ feature in your reaction at all, Lou? Indeed they do Dej, as well as a shrubbery. No, no, wait, sorry, wrong scene. .

Hellshade, how about your analysis of WOFF terrain changes. Any teasers there?? Hope to be able to post some terrain pics later in the week. Devs are hard at it and still making changes so don't want to share anything without their approval. What I will say is the new terrain looks more organic than ever, in my personal opinion. It always looked good, but like so many other aspects of WOFF BHaH. II, they took it to the next level.

I am SO looking forward to BHaH.II. I drifted away from WOFF because I’d spent several years obsessed with it. I feel a new wave of obsession approaching!

Oh that I was back in the dear old PBI. With no more Triplanes on me tail, nor tracer tracing by. And no more flames and clickerty-clack and no more blooming sky, And only a couple of feet to fall whenever I want to die.

.Also love seeing a lot more little villages now scattered about the countryside. Agreed, there is something more 'stand out' about the houses and other buildings in the new version, you can see it in the films you've put up Hellshade and also particularly in that third picture with the Nieuport. Very realistic, dare I say almost photogenic.
"A great deal of an aeroplane could be holed without affecting its ability to fly. Wings and fuselage could be—and often were—pierced in 50 places, missing the occupants by inches (blissfully unaware of how close it had come until they returned to base). Then the sailmaker would carefully cover each hole with a square inch of Irish linen frayed at the edges and with a brushful of dope make our aircraft 'serviceable' again within an hour."

Regarding Hellshades latest screen shots:
I am troubled by a panic response in certain places, like roads along a cliff. Which is weird, because if I were to encounter a few fellows along said road who were rappelling down said cliff, I'd tie on a Swiss seat, latch in my caribiner and have the time of my life bounding down the cliff. I was the first guy in my training group to be able to run face first down the cliff because the first two guys in line couldn't do it. Phobias are not rational.
I said all that to frame my experience with WOFF. I had, at the time, three simulators on my machine, all with enhanced scenery - the European WWII thing that the guys over at sim-outhouse were working on, Microsoft FSX, and whatever the current flavor of WOFF was. I've always tried to be a Day 1 purchaser! But WOFF was and remains the only sim where I was in a bank, turned my head to look at the ground and said "WHOA!" and really got that initial instinctual rush of, "Hey guy, you are 'WAY too high!" fear.
This is an amazing piece of work - it's only getting better. I can't wait to get back into the virtual skies!

Any word on whether it's looking more like an add-on you apply to your existing game, or a new full install?
Just curious, either way can't wait to pick this up! Good question. I think it would be a nice idea to have both options, tbh - a DLC/Upgrade option for those that already have purchased UE with PE expansion (a bit less costly), and a stand-alone (priced at a level that is more affordable than needing to buy UE + PE + BHaH II DLC, but more than a DLC upgrade alone (if that makes sense)). This way people who have been loyal supporters and have purchased everything to date get a bit of a discount, and it is also a quick and easy one shot purchase for those that have not too - win-win. (and it would also allow those members who have the extra $ and wish to simply donate more of it to OBD (or just simply want a stand-alone too) to make that choice as well).
