Possibly already answered, but ...will BH&H2 be a DLC like Platinum or will it ask for a standalone installation?

So much has been changed including under the hood campaign, AI, etc It's looking like a standalone, but we have not still fully decided.

Even the other day, we thought we'd finished programming new things but ended up added much better hiding in clouds. Before clouds affected the general spotting but once you were spotted the AI headed to you and tracked you.

Now you can get into a cloud and within a few seconds you will likely lose the AI, (depends on thickness to an extent). So if you are in trouble it's another tool you could use as a get out of jail card - provided of course if you are lucky enough to get to the cloud before they get to you.

Making decent videos is only really possible now that most of the obvious in your face changes have been completed. I recorded raw videos all along but many are out of date due to more recent changes, and mostly focussed on my own work so not ideal. We'll get there.

Super! Clouds aren't just for show anymore! This will help even the odds a bit and adds even more tactical thinking into each mission.

I'm not sure exactly what all the squadron changes you mentioned above will do, but it sounds again that you have managed to improve both the realism and the enjoyment factor at the same time. Kudos!

I have always been the sort of geriatric fan who got more excited about a new aeroplane or historical campaign feature than new shaders or eye candy. But the blend of features promised by BH&H2 has me salivating for both reasons. Massive kudos to the Devs for their dedication to this project. This will be the ultimate flight sim experience! And only two more weeks…

Indeed! Except that now that I am so mature, the word just wouldn't come to me.

The young are not interested in WW1 so it's left to older geezers like us to carry the flag. When we remember where the flag is. I'd be here here more often if I could remember the password. I've got a password manager but I've lost the piece of paper its password was written on. I'll catch up in a bit ....

I consider myself as "young" in my 33 years of age, so don't worry, the interest in not based solely on age :-)

Another new snippet added recently;

Now when you are in rain and you break up through the cloud above it, the rain will stop (of course the opposite it true when descending).
Very cool with the rain effect also on the goggles.

Any meteorological upgrade that adds to the tactical aspect of the "game" is a big thumbs up.

It's true sometimes that the devil is in the detail. However, it's often the case that there's delight in the details smile

Your excitement and enthusiasm for your creation is heart warming, Pol. I continue to be distracted from WOFF by sim racing, but I do drop by this forum occasionally to see how progress is coming along with the new version, and I'm quite sure that when it becomes available it'll draw me right back in.

Keep up the great work!
