Jerry Stiller--long time comedian and probably known to most of you as George Costanza's father Frank Costanza on Seinfield passed away at age 92. He was also actor Ben Stiller's father.

Jerry Stiller RIP

If like me, you are old enough, you will also remember him as half of the husband and wife comedy team of Stiller and Meara who did their act on all of the TV variety shows from the late 1950s through the early 70s. I think they held a record for the most performances on the Ed Sullivan show. They did sketch comedy playing characters sort of based on their own real marriage. He-being Jewish and her having been raised an Irish Catholic made for an uncommon but funny dynamic at the time.

I remember a little of the Stiller and Meara team from the Johnny Carson show.

Jerry Stiller was a very funny comedian and his episodes on Seinfeld were some of my favorites.
He will be missed.
Rest in Peace Jerry Stiller

Festivus won't be the same without him.

I liked him as Arthur in King of Queens.
