Terry Clark, Battle of Britain veteran, and the second last of " The Few", died on the eve of VE Day at the age of 101. Now there is only one left : John Hemingway aged 100, who lives in an old age home in Ireland

When Mr. Hemingway finally goes to his reward; EVERY free nation should have a day of mourning for those brave young men who quite literally stopped the Nazis from invading Britain and consuming western Europe. Only God knows the consequences of Hitler and Mussolini having a free hand in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East

Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few,

So 80 years later we are now down to one British pilot who fought during the Battle of Britain. It's almost surreal.
