Here's my latest... a plans built one sixth scale RC Sopwith Pup. It represents one of Raymond Collishaw's mounts. The rigging is fully functional. It has a full body pilot and a few other details not shown but is ready to fly!

Nice! Nice! What kind of power? Glow?

Thanks fellas! Sorry for delayed response. It has an OS 40 FP two stroke glow engine. I ran into some fitment issues when trying to use an OS 40 four stroke engine. The FP isn't a powerhouse but like that 'pink bunny' they just run and run... Deadstick landings with draggy biplanes isn't the best way to land! I used a Dave 'Boddo' Boddington plan and moluded they cowl from a homemade plug and mould.

What is the purpose of those squares in the wings ? I can see the aelerons cables running out of them, but why so large ?

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

Some WWI aircraft had windows to enable one to inspect the bellcrank / working mechanisms.

Yes... the 'windows' allow for the cables and pulleys to be inspected/serviced. The ones on the model are 'dummies' and only for looks. The instrument panel 'pulsator' gauge is an LED bulb with brass paint on its base. It is seen to the left on the panel. All of the pull-pull cables and rigging is functional and adjustable. The concession to scale fidelity is for disassembley for the safety wired turnbuckles can be disconnected, with their cables still rigged, via 'R' clips! The split axle is sprung with bungees and the wheels can be removed a la full scale with split pins. I have learned long ago that when in doubt about some aspect of the subject being modeled... just copy what the original designers did!
