Team Fusion Simulations is very excited to announce that TFS 5.0 is now in the Beta Testing stage of development!
TFS 5.0 will enable players to battle it out on land, sea and air in the new North African desert map (time frame - December 1940 to June 1942), and the existing Channel map (time frame - December 1940 to August 1941).
TFS team members and our Alpha testers have put in thousands of hours into the continued development of new assets to 5.0, verifying and improving flight characteristics, updating special effects, sounds, and bug fixing.
Thanks to the Alpha testers for the work you have done and will be during Beta testing.
Major improvements from the commencement of Alpha:
Desert map (all aspects)
Damage modelling
Flight and engine characteristics
Special effects
Cockpit and external animations in multiple aircraft
Rear visibility to ensure historical and physical accuracy
Shore adjustments
Vehicle spacing fixed
Full mission builder - new elements added
Channel map
Additions during Alpha testing:
New ships, including Cruisers and freighters (will be showcased in a future update)
5.0 Beta! Slowly I Turned,..... Step by Step,.... Inch by Inch!!! This has been a long slow road we the end users have been traveling down, BUT, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have been waiting to see this posted for so long. Great news TFS!!! I have been posting this question once a year, either here or on the ATAG Forums but usually around June or July. So, I am going to take a chance and post it early this year.
Do you think, barring the world ends first, that we, the end users, will be able to purchase and fly CLOD 5.0: Sands of Tobruk by Christmas??? Assuming the name will be something to that effect. Just to make it clear, I am asking about 5.0, no matter what the final name is. This is really important because it may be the last time I am able to ask you this question, assuming the answer is yes.
So, What Says Ye? Arrggg ye Scurvy Pattle! Speak up Scallywag! Otherwise Ill skewer yer gizzard, ye salty sea bass... Avast!

ATAG_Pattel, you might want to make your Beta pic here BIG, as it is kind of underwhelming as is Sir. This is a HUGE announcement, so it deserves a big pic me thinks. 1. Right click on your thumbnail pic in your original post. Click 'copy link location. 2. Click 'Edit' at the bottom right on your original post. Click whatever location inside your post where you want the big picture to be. Lets say at the very top of your original post. 3. Click the picture Icon(right next to the smiley icon) A pop up box appears, paste your link location from step one in the box and click ok. 4. Click 'change post' at the bottom of your edit screen. 5.click 'view your post' and voila, you have a big picture.

Now that looks like a Big and exciting announcement ATAG_Pattel! Nice job. Now we just need those Beta testers to take more pics and videos and funnel them to you so that you can post even more teasers.
it would be great if the sound of the 109 could be revisited sometime in the future
from all war time reports the whine of the 109 would cause fear to the listener
Oleg did a good job on that sound in Forgotten Battles F model 109 and
of course the original Il.2 game
thanks for this report
Post composed with speech to text, it woks grape!
