Yes, it's another screenshot thread. But this time, it's themed - a nostalgic tribute, if you will, to the twin pack 1/72 scale kits released by Airfix as 'Dogfight Doubles', revived recently but starting in the 1960s.
The thread is therefore for WotR screenshots illustrating just two aircraft in close combat, such as might be suitable for a Dogfight Double box art, as painted by the great Roy Cross.
The rules are:
1. Just two aircraft in the pic - others in the far distance are allowed, but the Trades Descriptions Act means you can't give the buyer the slightest impression they will get more than two kits in the virtual box 2. The two aircraft featured must be from opposite sides - so if you're into fratricide, sorry, this isn't the thread for you . 3. Repetition is fine, doesn't matter if the same two have already been posted. 4. External views only. 5. One screenshot per post. 6. As many posts as you like.
If you play WotR, go for it - please take some Dogfight Double screenshots and post one or more of your favourites here. Hit the Pause, key, pan around, take the shots. 'Use full editor' when posting, then Attachment Manager to upload the file to your post. Then save the post, and while viewing it, click on the screenie's thumbnail and select Copy (which stores the images url). Edit your post and use the post image icon in the row at the top to paste in the url you just copied, into the body of the post Or upload the file somewhere and copy its url in from there. Easy-peasey. even I can do it.

Excellent topic - I look forward to trying this out.
Happy WOTRing all, Von S
~ For my various FM/AI/FPS/DM Mods. for First Eagles 2, WoFF, RoF & WoTR, and tips for FlightGear, recommended is to check over my CombatAce profile (https://combatace.com/profile/86760-vons/) and to click on the "About Me" tab while there. ~
I am doubling your dogfight double 33lima! A very nice picture you posted Sir!!! Spitfire & He 111. Or maybe not now that I look at it? Spitfire and Do17??? No wait? Spitfire & Ju 88 ???? Anyway, it is one of those Hun Bombers! One of my absolute favorite pics that I took while testing the Spitty before it was released. Cheers!
Great stuff lads..im getting my arse kicked by ze germans (pic was taken a while back)
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
Hurricane I and Dornier 17Z (this time, the Dornier has parts missing, so you will have to send off the little slip in the box to get them from Airfix - anyone else remember those?)
Nice pic Sir! The question is, did you make it? Or did you end up end up a nasty BritHun Ball of Rubbish? Ok, I am running out of source material and no time to take more Dogfight Doubles, but this surely has to be a contender for top 10 box pics!
Spitfire MkI fighting multiple Dornier Do17sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss on a picture perfect day in the neighborhood!

Oh your fitter and the Squadron Engineer are not going to be happy about that one Sir! Sorry old bean, but I believe you took, "wait until you can see the white of their eyes", rather a wee bit to literally Sir! Do be a good lad and try a manual pump to let the gear down before pancaking. Otherwise she will be a complete write off.
