I bought this years ago on sale based on comments that say it's a really good RPG. I've started it twice but stopped soon after, each time. Not sure what's keeping me from giving it a proper go. Odd. But yeah, it seems to be well liked by those who have played it.

It sure is different from what Iam used to. As with Exanima, which is another example that one could doubt as a RPG even. Nevertheless, the below video might give you some insight as to what makes DDDA a different RPG experience...
