Beautiful.

And BIG!

I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

Thanks, fellas! These were the most pathetic ARF kits ever made so no mention of their provenance will be made. In disgust I sat them on the shelf for a few years then came back at them with a vengeance. All covering was removed and most of the internal structure was replaced or modified. Many items were added. The ailerons are driven by cables from the fuselage to a long pushrod (sliding shaft) that drives belcranks. Pull-pull cables on everything else. I still need to make one more set of wheels for Bongartz's blue nosed machine. The sub wing has rubber bungee shock absorbers. All the streaky paint is hand brushed using butyrate dope over a cream base. There are still some details to add but the models are ready to fly. I think these two bring my total experience with Drl airplanes up to seven??? I really like Triplanes... even British ones!

My dad flies R/C and he has a small ARF Albatross DV that he scaled up with some paint details and it looks much better than OOB. He likes Tripes too, he has a 1/3 1/4 and 1/5 all as various MvR machines.
