I wrote a new script, escorting my Brother's Avengers to the Ryujo

Having ordered my squad to attack the fighters I flew on wing-leveller so that I could watch the Avengers on F9

Very pleasing. You can see the torpedo wakes and the strikes smile

if you point me in the right direction for pertinent squadron info I'd be happy to make a multi-skin Avenger set to honor your brother.

It was the 820 Naval Air Squadron, but I cannot find any details of markings.
Bill gave me his, and I passed them on to Capt Kurt who did that skin

Yeah, couldn't find a #%&*$# thing about the insignia and aircraft markings.

Fairly simple markings BTW. The only aircraft to aircraft differences would be the letter up on the rudder and the numbers on the side of the fuselage.

I did find the 820 Squadron emblem which I could add up by the engine cowling. That might not be historically correct but it would be a nice tribute. I'll leave that call up to Mr. Jelly.

On that note, the F4u-1 Corsair in the Aircraft_Inventory wears the numbers of my best friend's father who flew it at Guadalcanal.

As promised, the TBF multiskin NZ 820 squadron -

Had to take some artistic license because there wasn't much info out there on plane numbers and letters. I also added the squadron flying fish emblem to the engine cowling which may not be historically correct from the few pictures I was able to glean from the internet but what the heck, it's a nice tribute to some intrepid airmen, including Jel's brother.

I also varied the camo paint on individual aircraft, again, not sure if it's historically correct, but it does add some much needed variety to the mix:

PS - Jel, I put the skin package in your folder at the GEN labeled "SPAW TBF(NZ tribute).zip" so you don't have to wait for my next full aircraft inventory upload.

I set up an escort mission and watched on F9 when the Avengers neared the target

I love it when the torpedo flying routine kicks in and the planes drop to a very low level and an appropriate speed

Interesting coincidence?

I think those Corsairs on the deck are wearing the F4u tribute skin I was referring to earlier, making the whole strike group a tribute to past heroes.

Don't worry, as if you were! It's always a very temporary aberration with us.

I come from a long line of Bradys, O'Rourkes and Kellys, so, yeah unless something serious, like death. interferes, it's ALWAYS temporary.
