I deployed units from the 113th Panzer Brigade to cover the Retread of the 11th Panzer Div from a battle around Arracout France. The Task group comprised 2 Panther Tanks, 3 PZ IV. 1 Marder, 1 Stug III and 2 Flak Panzer's Hq was jammed in 3 1/2 Tracks with no Arty support. Enemy Est at Company strength. Orders were to delay and cover the Fighting Withdrawal . Enemy Tanks were spotted a mix M5 and M4 types followed by armored Infantry. We lost the Marder early on due to long range shot by a Sherman. Our Flak guns opened fire and herded the tanks into a column giving flanking shots to our tanks thus causing the Infantry to pull back. Total lost. 1 Panther Mechanical break down , 1 PZ IV destroyed, 1 PZ IV lost a track and had to be left behind, 1 Marder, Destroyed Enamy. 3 M5's and 5 Sherman's.
