OK I'm thinking of setting up a dual joy stick set up..A CH combat Stick and a FF2 stick..Main reason is I',m a bit short on necessary buttons to fly a lot of sims..EAW isn't a problem my logitec and a few single keystrokes were fine...But I don't want to get into plugging and unplugging different sticks for different sims..Two sticks would help otherwise its a Thrustmaster throttle to go with one of my sticks..I tried a keypad yesterday and it just screwed things up and EAW locked up even when I shut it off on my USB hub..For me the question is can you use two sticks with EAW or will a separate throttle work...any advice is appreciated as always

Hi Russ,

I'm using a Thrustmaster Throttle and a CH joystick. EAW recognizes both controllers and theirs axis but I can only assign keys to the joystick not to the throttle as well. Anyone knows how to use both joystick and throttle buttons? Sorry m8 for raising more questions than answers.

Here my ini:

[CONTROLS]
Force Feedback=0
Force Feedback Gain=0
Flight Sensitivity=1.000000
Camera Sensitivity=5.000000
Snapview Speed=5
Swap Mouse X=0
Swap Mouse Y=0
Windows Joystick=1
Device1 Port=1
Device2 Port=2
Device3 Port=3
Rudder Device=2
Throttle Device=2
Stick Device=1
Key Device=1
POV Device=1
JoystickDeadZone=4
Guns Convergence Z=0
Guns Convergence Y=0

BTW stay safe my friend with all this Coro-mess

Cheers

Code-Group v1.28c/d versions support 2 sticks, while 1.28e support three sticks, but only one function from each stick. The buttons are only assignable from the first device ID1 listed in Windows Game Controllers Control Panel.
So the first stick can use the handle to fly, the 2nd can be a throttle or twist handle and the third the same thing.
Its sketchy on what devices will actually work other than joysticks. You ma be able to get a stick on ID1 and throttle on ID2 both of USB type, but again its iffy.

My Joystick and Controls Help Doc explains it in much detail.

Thanks for your reply Mark, I guess we will have to live with that. Would be nice if that could be changed someday, if possible.
Btw, very nice work on your site. Great source of information. thank you.

Cheers

Your Welcome. I thank you smile

I fixed that 1.28e supports three sticks, I forgot the 'e' indication in my previous post.

v1.2 can support 2 devices, but mostly if there chain-linked, sometimes if ones USB and the other is a gameport device, it "may" support that.
It just needs to be modernized like the other things in hardware support with EAW, maybe someone, someday will be able to do it.
