I think after this crisis is over, many industries will not be the same ever again: movie theaters, cruise ships, restaurants, airlines, distribution warehouses, manufacturing factories.

Anything where large number of people get together or smaller number of people get together but in closer proximity to each other like haircut stores and beauty salons.

It also depends if the virus will ever come back or if it's gone forever. and whether a vaccine or cure will be found for it.

The flu of 1918 never return, only different weaker strains of it descended from it.

If the Coronavirus Covid-19 is something the human race will have to deal for the rest of its existence like the flu or influenza, then those industries and many others will be forever affected, having to make changes to stay alive and becoming smaller in size and numbers.

Even before the pandemic, movie theaters were already facing a crisis of declining attendance mostly due to the advent of streaming.

That's a bit melodramatic for a delayed movie.

I don't think he was referring to that

It's 'More Than A Feeling'!

BTW, Sib Hashian died (2017) during a performance on a cruise ship.

I read about that when the news broke. Quite sad really on multiple levels.

I would say the post WWII Marshall Plan is a good example of having learned from the post WWI Treaty of Versailles.

It's my belief that those things will only stop in their entirety when every country on Earth has the same level and access to all resources. The Star Trek utopia truly is science fiction. smile

That wouldn't even do it. There will always be somebody who covets a bigger slice of the pie.

I always never liked cruise ships. I had several opportunities to go on cruise ships all paid and refused long before news of people getting sick on cruise ships was the norm.

Cruise ships, airliners, movie theaters are all petri dish. I like to go to movies but do you know what I do every time after I return home?

I throw everything I wore into the wash (except shoes and belt and watch) for a hot wash cycle and I immediately go and take a long hot shower.

Everytime after watching a movie, my clothes that were clean when I put them on feel grungy.

NoFlyBoy, that seems a bit extreme, but we all have quirks.

Mine is a shower before bed and again the next morning if I'm leaving home for the day. Like you, I want fresh clothes after my morning shower (and I don't reuse towels).

But I love cruises...6 Royal Caribbean and 1 Carnival. I had no interest whatsoever in trying a cruise until my wife's company treated us and we got hooked. Always have a great time, especially the last one after I lost my weight. Good timing with proper planning and they're a *great* value...as long as they don't kill you. smile We plan to go on at least one more along the Norwegian coast.

Crowds don't bother me and when this is over, I'm going back to *smaller* Rock show venues. I was already done with arena concerts.
