Well, first I had a bowl of Special K, lowfat milk and fresh strawberries and banana. Just a little honey.
Tea, again with a little honey.
Then...dessert!

Breakfast this morning was the usual spinach wrap (each eating half) containing scrambled eggs, Havarti cheese, cut raw spinach, pomegranate seeds and a touch of fig preserves for sweetness and to hold the wrap together.
We're going to eat the last of the fresh strawberries and bananas today (part of our ~1 week perishables) then switching over to frozen bags, both hand prepped and store purchased (works well with fruit smoothies).
The container of raw spinach might last through the weekend, then homemade cabbage soup in the freezer (plenty of food was prepped and frozen last weekend). We also have plenty of nuts and pumpkin seeds, bell peppers and onions (some prepped and frozen), canned smoked oysters, a dozen large pomegranates and several bars of Lindt dark chocolate.
So I have the important foods covered...
Along with canned soups, clam chowder, sardines, as well as frozen beef, chicken, turkey, ham, fish, shrimp and sweet potatoes.
I have everything except for watermelon. I forgot the freaking watermelon!

^ Just trying to interject some humor in a crisis , although there's really not much difference in my grocery/TP stash/habits than at any other time except for some extra prepping and freezing last weekend. I'm soon going to miss having eggs and fresh produce to eat, but I'm not complaining.
But again, if we were eating the same portion sizes as we were 15 years ago, our ~6 mth supply might not last 2 (not anticipating being home bound for that long). It would have also been difficult to change the habit of constantly eating out, which isn't convenient when you live in the rurals. Heck, we can't even get Chinese or pizza delivered out here!
Fortunately my wife is doing fine with working on satellite internet, as long as the rest of us stay off any video streaming. I think the last HughesNet 'Gen5' upgrade was substantial.

Where's the bacon? It's not breakfast without bacon and bacon makes everything better.

One soft boiled egg, one slice of toast with butter + marmite, half mango, half papaya, glass of milk. Stopped taking supplements couple of years back, I was becoming a slave to the little bottles.
Cheers, Slug

Oh man, my favorite Cracker Barrel breakfast back in the day was the Uncle Herschels...
From memory...large fried catfish fillet with two eggs over easy, grits, hash brown casserole, and a couple of biscuits drowned in sawmill gravy (made with bacon or sausage drippings?). I'd always add a couple more biscuits and a couple of cornbreads for good measure.

The bug has me paying more attention to lots of things.
edit: Oh and I do adore Steak and eggs, or bacon/sausage and eggs and tons of homefries and occasionally hashbrowns.
Just trying to limit that to once a week or so.

Not really. It's not made from pigs.
I didn't remember and had to dig, I have a couple packs of frozen bacon in the laundry room freezer.
We're pretty well organized and good at keeping on top of shelf life (most frozen foods in a labeled Ziploc bag with freezer marker contents and date). But at some point over the next couple of weeks we're going to have to prioritize, as I've done for our lunch today (finishing some older tomatoes and avocados). Not so much needing to ration (although that mentality is already setting in), just some sort of order, like finishing the more perishable foods first.
None of us are picky eaters, but my father is the least picky eater I know, eating pig's feet and snout, cow tongue and lots of other weird stuff (also some bugs like crickets and grasshoppers). Yeah, I've tried them all just because I said I would (and he calls me on it) but most of that stuff I can pass on.
But if I ever get really hungry...

Cow tongue and tripe is good when it's properly prepared and seasoned. Yup. We do the same thing with the food in portions in Ziploc bags and marked with dates. Nothing is wasted. Something that is cooked and leftover can be frozen too.

I hear Batwing surprise and Pangolin stew are real good also.

I'd try them both with a little Tony Chachere's Bold I see in your pic, along with some Tabasco Sauce.

Agree. Or sausage, whichever you are in the mood for. Topped off with an anti inflammatory, a muscle relaxer and Lidocaine patch and I am ready for the day.

Breakfast this morning (weekend breakfast usually bigger and later in morning), only one week in and the way I "cook" is already beginning to slightly change (everything split two ways)...
Scissor finely-cut spinach (1 cereal-sized bowl full instead of 2). 5 scrambled eggs (instead of 6). 1 slice of cheese (instead of 2) melted in eggs. 1 avocado (instead of 2). Same amount of chopped turkey sausage, heated in skillet. Same amount of pomegranate seeds. Slightly more grits (have most of).
Pour hot buttered grits on top of spinach, then add turkey sausage, eggs, avocado chunks, topped off with pomegranate seeds...

Cashew milk is meh, it's ok but I prefer almond or oat milk (also have a gallon of skim milk). We just wanted to try something new and the cashew milk was fully stocked when we last shopped. Now we know why.
All followed by a Men's One-A-Day Multivitamin (wife takes her own).
