No I did not. That wiki page does not say anything about Belgium.

The article makes it quite clear that essentially every country has their own version of "bacon". You've heard about the ability to draw conclusions right?

I don't get it. You just answered your own question with that wikipedia link. Are you just asking SimHQ members then to confirm whether that wiki info is correct or incorrect?
He's gotta pad that post count.

It's like Germany here, Spek: side or belly pork either smoked or salt cured and cut into strips about 1/4" thick usually fried crispy. it is usually eaten with boekweit pannenkoek en stroop (buckwheat pancakes with apple & plum syrup - think about the consistency and look of molasses but apple flavoured) it's a traditional dish here and very popular.
Next time we have some I'll be sure to post up a pic, but tonight it's Spanish Tapas with friends at t' Terraske bij Kelly, Kelly is a friend and has a great little bicycle café just a km or two from us.
I should use this thread for my Master's Thesis, if I ever get there.
We run the gamut from my; "My idea of a healthy breakfast in current conditions"
to "Giant potato! 10 lbs bags and there were 11 potatoes in the bag."
Thesis title????

Potatoes are good for you and are essential to the survival of the human race.. Remember what happened when there were no potatoes? Over a million died and millions more suffered in great Potato famine of Ireland.

Sorry NFB but I really have to ask this question. Do you actually believe even half of the comments you post here or are you just trolling?

The earth's gravity field is shaped like a potato, that can't be a coincidence
The moons gravity field is real "potato-y" due to Mascons,

Panzermeyer surely constantly fascinated with trolls. A Tolkien groupie fanboy, perhaps?
Which trolls is his favorite?
Also no respect for the memory of countless who died and suffered from the Irish Potato Famine.
I am sure there are a few members here who are Irish or have Irish ancestors who lived through the Famine that will not take kindly to your disrespect of their memory.
Potatoes are important in human lives. Imagine if potatoes became extinct: There will be no French fries and tater tots. All the burger places will be out of business.
What's a Golden Arches meal without French fries? Just a boring burger.
Also let's not forget potatoes saved the life of one astronaut left behind on Mars.
Seriously, what would life and the world without potatoes be like???
Still in online burnout, wasn't motivated enough to bother with a pic.
Breakfast this morning was an Italian Frittata, topped with sautéed mushroom and olive slices.
Wife's ability to cook delicious AND healthy meals (often for four) has been *outstanding* lately (helped in part by replacing Pioneer Woman cookbooks with the likes of Ellie Krieger, Alton Brown [his entire hardcover collection], Carrie Underwood and Bobby Flay). I think my mom's healthier style of cooking has also been an influence (they often tag-team). This type of eating is easily lifetime sustainable vs. my old staples of Costco sardines, cottage cheese w/fruit and granola, salads (don't remember the last time I had a salad, which were still awesome for salads).
Our lifestyle of healthy eating and exercise has become so moderate and routine that we don't even think much about it anymore, we just do it. That's a good place to be, and I don't know why it took us so many years to get there.

Went to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Stood in line for 25 minutes. Ask for original recipe. Does this look like original?
This is original from their website and anyone who ever ate there knows WHAT I WAS GIVEN is NOT original just by looking at it!!
Then go back to restaurant with the whole bucket, didn't even take a bite out of a piece, and was told they had no original and shoulda told us when we order and the manager said she will give me a $10 voucher for next time when I paid $17.90 and can't give me a refund.
So I called KFC and #%&*$# at them. They want to send me a $15 gift card again when I PAID $17.90 and I said no, I ain't going back to your restaurants, send me a full refund in a check. Lady put me on hold to see if that is okay and then came back and told me they will send me a check within next 3-5 days.
Also when I paid in cash with a $20 the lady wanted me to pay with credit card said she doesn't have change. How do you run a business and don't keep enough change to take cash. I told her that is not my problem. I only have cash. She made the manager who was just standing there not putting orders together swiping on her phone while all the other employees are busy like ants and bees, go get change from the office.

Original was the recipe KFC founder Colonel Sanders made in his roadside gas station using a pressure cooker and his secret blend of 11 herbs and spices. But I doubt KFC is doing it the way Sanders did. They say they still are but I doubt they have since Pepsi is now the owner of KFC.
These are the same people who DEMAND they are paid $15 per hour plus full benefits. You will get $15 per hour when you earn it and not given to you.
